Hi Edwin, we'd like to invite you to the Caltex Anti TB Bus Launch tomorrow (August 16) at 9:00AM, Caltex Station Quirino Ave. cor. Mabini St. Malate Manila. hope to see you there!

Thanks,
Analie

Caltex Rolls Out
“Labanan ang TB Para Tsuper Healthy” Anti-TB Campaign
Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of the popular Caltex brand of fuels and lubricants, warmly invites you to witness the launch of its anti-Tuberculosis (TB) drive aimed for public utility jeepney (puj) drivers and their families entitled “Labanan ang TB Para Tsuper Healthy”.
Using an anti-TB bus to conduct onboard seminars on TB prevention and cure, CPI will drive this campaign in key areas in Metro Manila, especially in Pandacan where CPI’s terminal is located. This anti-TB bus will be unveiled during the campaign launch.
TB is the 6th leading killer disease in the country and every day, 75th Filipinos contract TB. What’s sad is that with the right information and healthy lifestyle, TB can be prevented. Our PUJ drivers are particularly susceptible to the disease.

As the first corporate champion of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, Chevron’s grant of US$5 million to the Philippines were used to train more than 8,175 service deliverers to provide quality TB services. Also, programmatic management for Multi-Drug Resistant TB was provided to about 1,000 patients not responding to first line anti-TB drugs.

But Chevron is committing more in terms of using its network of facilities to disseminate accurate information about TB, a commitment highlighted by this campaign.

When:
Tuesday; August 16, 2011 -- 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Where:
Caltex Service Station
Quirino Avenue cor. Mabini St.,
Malate, Manila

Please RSVP on or before Aug. 15:

Analie Altamarino at tel: 0915-8608660, 659-6750 or email at analie@ardent.com.ph & analie0326@yahoo.com

I thought you might find this interesting. A thread where a couple fruitarians mention getting parasites.

I doubt any of them were meat-eaters when they got them.

Hello,

My name is Jean Cayago and I run the frontdesk of Bikram Yoga Manila (Makati). We are the first authorized Bikram yoga studios in the Philippines and we celebrated our 5th anniversary yesterday.

To celebrate, we wanted to offer free yoga classes to the public at our 2 studios (www.bikramyogamanila.com) for the month of November and December. We are offering for free our Monday to Friday 8:30/9 am and 4/4:30 pm classes to all first timers to Bikram yoga (kindly consult our schedule online as we have different schedules at each studio and we do not have 4/4:30 pm classes on Tuesdays & Thursdays).

We would very much appreciate your help in getting the word out. And if you could let other bloggers know, that would be even better. Should you want a logo or image to put up, please let me know.

Our studios are located at:
