Where to Buy Pyrex to Cook Rice?

I had always wondered where to buy Pyrex in Manila. I have seen the healer Vander Gaditano cook his organic brown rice in Pyrex for his patients. Metal is a big pollutant in cooking. Stainless steel leeches metal, and of course aluminum is worse. All electric rice cookers use aluminum. Therefore, most Filipinos eat a lot of aluminum through rice cookers.

We were in agreement last Sunday that it was time to buy Pyrex for cooking rice. Maybe use the charcoal cooker for a cheaper method. But where to buy Pyrex in Manila? Do you know? Maybe I haven’t looked enough in the malls. Maybe I should look in a more upscale mall.

Probably ask Vander where he got his pyrex.

Documenting my Cousin’s Newborn Son’s Challenges

My cousin and his wife tried with all their heart, soul and health to finally give birth to a baby boy. The first 2 children ended in late term deaths. One at 5 months, the other at almost 7 months. This couple have no idea about birth spacing nor rest. They just carried on. The woman became pregnant with this her 3rd child in a span of 2 years. Go compute how crazy that is.

So finally after a much nerve wracking 3rd pregnancy the woman finally gives birth but my cousin says the child is still pre-mature by a week or 2. Some challenges:

– Child has some phlegm in him. He is being given some drops of ampalaya leaves extract for his anti-biotics. Their paediatrician suggested this.

– Child stops breathing for about a minute or more, then reflex action kicks in and he resumes breathing again.

Doctor reassures my cousin that his child is “normal”. I never observed such things with my children. So that doesn’t sound normal to me.

A few days on after birth, the child gets his feet cut for new born screening. Of course you know I don’t like this for my children. But this isn’t my child.

A day later the child gets his BCG aka anti-tuberculosis shot. Of course you know I don’t like this for my children either. My first child got these idiotic BCG shots and he was the one who got eventually diagnosed with tuberculosis. The other children were not given BCG shots and they are fine. So it is only logical for me to believe that BCG shots are harmful and cause tuberculosis instead of preventing them. My sample survey respondents are my own children, that is the only survey results that are important to me.

Then the following day this child gets into a crisis with his belly button scab falling off and his belly button inflamed. My cousin got so emotionally worked up about that.

So my cousin is still fretful about his newborn son, it’s not as if it is his first child, he’s had many before with other women, it’s just that this child is the first one growing up with him.

I have not personally observed nor seen this child. I only hear these challenges from my cousin. May he raise the child well.

My Opinion on Newborn Screening: Don’t Do It.

My cousin’s wife just gave birth to a new baby boy. Congratulations. “We are now going to cut you in the sole of your feet to take a good amount of blood samples for testing for the newborn screening option. So we are going to tell you what genetic diseases or failings your child may have.” Yeah right….

I have another cousin who 8 years ago had his daughter get a newborn screening result with some hard to pronounce hard to remember diagnosis which meant in short… DO NOT DRUG THIS CHILD. This child is ALLERGIC TO DRUGS and may be terribly compromised, injured or die when given DRUGS.

I said no to all newborn screenings to all my children and my future children because first: it is injurious and painful. Second: the results are USELESS to us, we avoid drugs as if they were poison anyway. We use food instead of drugs which is much much safer. Of course in the case of an emergency room situation we may consent to drugs, but so far, there has been absolutely no need yet.

Sharp Shooting Neck Pain Beside Lymph Nodes on my 8 year old boy last night

Last night an inexplicable neck pain hit my 8 year old boy. Around 7pm and again 9pm. He felt sharp shooting neck pain, both left and right sides of his neck. I ask if it is in the lymph node area. He has slightly swollen lymph node problems since he was small. He says yes right there. His reaction to relieve the pain was to push his hands on both sides of his neck.

The 7pm pain lasted for around 5 – 10 minutes. I got water on his neck and virgin coconut oil. I thought there were sharp objects or mosquito bites.

The 9pm pain occurred and this time I was alarmed since this is a repeat performance. This is no mosquito bite, this was an internal matter. I was thinking blocked blood flow. So I gave him some 1/2 teaspoon of home made cayenne tincture for circulation. He felt instant relief. But took some 4 consecutive ice cubes to quench the heat in his mouth.

Which lets me think again about those swollen lymph nodes he’s had for a long time. Maybe they are blockages of some kind. I remember the past few days putting some ghee on them. Maybe the ghee caused it? Maybe this is a job for a detoxifier like Quantum Minerals Plus. I will have to consult with this newly found lymph expert Efren. I’ll call him up tomorrow.

Last night my boy and I agreed on 3 cayenne tincture doses every day to eradicate the problem. Whatever it is. Wait and see.

I first heard about Daniel Vitalis, a cool guy sharing his passion for spring water and herbs on One Radio Network. He used to be vegan, for a good number of years, but since then had hit the vegan wall and following the raw is natural logic, went on to consume raw meat.

In this video, Daniel and Chef Franky G demonstrates how to do steak tartar a la bison meat with raw egg yolk. This recipe is good for those curious to be introduced to raw meat eating. Low Carb High Fat Rawish Paleo Diet against tooth infection for my 5 year old girl

Last Friday my girl got a cavity capped with a tooth filling. The abscess was popped and the dentist recommended pain killers and anti-biotics. Well, you know me, I’d like to avoid drugs as much as possible. In fact drug taking is our scare tactic for our kids for them to follow a strict diet cure regimen. So I told my 5 year old girl that she was either going to do it strictly my way or she was taking drugs. Of course she doesn’t want any drugs.

So she’s eating raw liver, raw oysters, seared fatty grass fed beef sirloin and t-bone, raw tuna, kinilaw na tangigue fish, boiled zucchini and coconut juice with coconut meat. I was in the wet market again this morning but there again was no blue marlin. Hmmm… 3 days of no blue marlin, something’s up.

Oh yes, more sleep. Sleep at night, sleep mid morning, sleep after lunch, sleep at night. And since there is no rice + meat combo to stifle digestion, more frequent eating times.

So my daughter declares that she has zero pain this morning. Good. Much better, much faster results than drugs. The dentist said it would take 3 days for the drugs to take effect and remove the pain, but with strict paleo diet compliance and low carb compliance, my daughter is better already.

I have to admit it, my daughter is sensitive to fruit carbohydrates and probably rice carbohydrates. So all fruits and rice are banned for her right now. Save coconut juice with coconut meat for fat to balance.

My little girl will be on meat, fat, vegetables and coconuts. No tooth brushing, it will be replaced by oil pulling with virgin coconut oil. She’s good at it, it’s easy, non-abrasive.

That should heal her tooth decay. This is just the first among many decays plainly visible. It is summer vacation, the time is now. The disease tooth decay is unacceptable. My little girl is malnourished. She needs more meat and fat, not empty carbs.

* How we prepare raw beef liver for children: Cut into small cubes, squeeze some calamansi juice, sprinkle pepper to taste. Let it sit for a couple of hours in the refrigerator. Delicious.
