My friend Jackie chanced upon Dr. Ravnskov’s book on sale at National Bookstore. Wow, marked down from P 1,445 to P 75 only.
I’ve heard read about the Cholesterol Myths myself. I’ve known about this for more than a year now so you know where this review is coming from. For 4 months now I’ve been on a raw paleolithic diet. First majority fruitarian, but gradually upping my raw and cooked animal foods intake. The proportion of which I am trying to achieve is the Homo Optimus Diet proportion of 1 part protein, 2.5 to 3.5 parts fat and 0.8 parts carbohydrates.
For those who still don’t know, I am a hobby healer and diet is one of the tools for healing. I have written several pieces in this blog that diseased people are good fats deficient. And that introducing good fats to their diet in the form of supplements like Oleia or Lyprinol is enough to cure them of their symptoms.
But why buy supplements when you can just eat delicious, satisfying fat? This is what paleolithic dieting teaches, eating saturated fats and cholesterol laden foods is natural. All those cholesterol or that fat makes you fat, or that fat gives you coronary heart disease is just plain false.
I answer those who ask that coronary heart disease is a vitamin c deficiency problem. And raw fats, and raw internal organs give plenty, plenty of vitamin c.
Back to the book. This book is a scholarly work. It questions the studies made, it questions the conclusions made, it highlights that majority of the studies show that there is no connection between increased cholesterol or fat consumption and the so called heart disease problems.
The book is exciting for those who have access to the studies being mentioned. It is exciting for those who have the time to read all the studies.
Personally, I am a hobby healer so I merely self experiment and learn from the efforts of fellow self experimenter hobby healers.
I wasn’t too excited while reading the book, maybe because I already have my own judgements and already eat a good proportion of fats in my diet.
For my friends and family, maybe reading this book will allay your fears about fat.
Grab yourself a copy of the Cholesterol Myths: Exposing the fallacy that saturated fat and cholesterol cause heart disease.
Eat fat (PALEOLITHIC FATS such as coconut meat, fish fat, land animal fat, virgin olive oil fat; not cooking oils, not trans fats), slim down, be healthy, wealthy and wise.
