Jim Carrey the comedian and his Anti-Vaccination Advocacy

February 8, 2010 by Good Samaritan

US comedian Jim Carrey is part of a website called Generation Rescue.  The headline says Autism is reversible.  And of course if you avoid vaccinations, preventable.

Now I don’t watch television or much movies.  I did see Jim Carrey in a movie once.  But he appears to be famous.  So if you are star struck with Jim, maybe you should listen to what he has to say about vaccinations.

Lately Jim and partner Jenny McCarthy made a statement regarding some monkey vaccination study that is being censored because it may show that vaccination turned out harmful to the monkeys.

Andrew Wakefield, Scientific Censorship, and Fourteen Monkeys

A statement from Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey
Los Angeles, February 5, 2010

Dr. Andrew Wakefield is being discredited to prevent an historic study from being published that for the first time looks at vaccinated versus unvaccinated primates and compares health outcomes, with potentially devastating consequences for vaccine makers and public health officials.

It is our most sincere belief that Dr. Wakefield and parents of children with autism around the world are being subjected to a remarkable media campaign engineered by vaccine manufacturers reporting on the retraction of a paper published in The Lancet in 1998 by Dr. Wakefield and his colleagues.

The retraction from The Lancet was a response to a ruling from England’s General Medical Council, a kangaroo court where public health officials in the pocket of vaccine makers served as judge and jury. Dr. Wakefield strenuously denies all the findings of the GMC and plans a vigorous appeal.

Despite rampant misreporting, Dr. Wakefield’s original paper regarding 12 children with severe bowel disease and autism never rendered any judgment whatsoever on whether or not vaccines cause autism, and The Lancet’s retraction gets us no closer to understanding this complex issue.

Dr. Wakefield is one of the world’s most respected and well-published gastroenterologists. He has published dozens of papers since 1998 in well-regarded peer-reviewed journals all over the world. His work documenting the bowel disease of children with autism and his exploration of novel ways to treat bowel disease has helped relieve the pain and suffering of thousands of children with autism.

For the past decade, parents in our community have been clamoring for a relatively simple scientific study that could settle the debate over the possible role of vaccines in the autism epidemic once and for all: compare children who have been vaccinated with children who have never received any vaccines and see if the rate of autism is different or the same.

Few people are aware that this extremely important work has not only begun, but that a study using an animal model has already been completed exploring this topic in great detail.

Dr. Wakefield is the co-author, along with eight other distinguished scientists from institutions like the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Washington, of a set of studies that explore the topic of vaccinated versus unvaccinated neurological outcomes using monkeys.

The first phase of this monkey study was published three months ago in the prestigious medical journal Neurotoxicology, and focused on the first two weeks of life when the vaccinated monkeys received a single vaccine for Hepatitis B, mimicking the U.S. vaccine schedule. The results, which you can read for yourself here, were disturbing. Vaccinated monkeys, unlike their unvaccinated peers, suffered the loss of many reflexes that are critical for survival.

Dr. Wakefield and his scientific colleagues are on the brink of publishing their entire study, which followed the monkeys through the U.S. childhood vaccine schedule over a multi-year period. It is our understanding that the difference in outcome for the vaccinated monkeys versus the unvaccinated controls is both stark and devastating.

There is no question that the publication of the monkey study will lend substantial credibility to the theory that over-vaccination of young children is leading to neurological damage, including autism. The fallout from the study for vaccine makers and public health officials could be severe. Having denied the possibility of the vaccine-autism connection for so long while profiting immensely from a recent boom in vaccine sales around the world, it’s no surprise that they would seek to repress this important work.

Behind the scenes, the pressure to keep the work of Dr. Wakefield and his colleagues from being published is immense, and growing every day. Medical journals take extreme risk of backlash in publishing any studies that question the safety of the vaccination program, no matter how well-designed and thorough the research might be. Neurotoxicology, a highly-respected medical journal, deserves great credit for courageously publishing the first phase of this vaccinated monkey study.

The press has been deeply misled in the way The Lancet retraction, and Dr. Wakefield’s mock trial, have been characterized. Led by the pharmaceutical companies and their well-compensated spokespeople, Dr. Wakefield is being vilified through a well-orchestrated smear campaign designed to prevent this important new work from seeing the light of day.

What medical journal would want to step in front of this freight train? Moreover, why now, after 12 years of inaction, did The Lancet and GMC suddenly act? Is it coincidence that the monkey study is currently being submitted to medical journals for review and publication?

We urge the media to take a close look at the first phase of the monkey study discussed above and to start asking a very simple question: What was the final outcome of the 14 primates that were vaccinated using the U.S. vaccine schedule and how did that compare to the unvaccinated controls?

The U.S. vaccine schedule has grown from 10 vaccines given to our children in the 1980s to 36 today, perfectly matching the dramatic rise in autism. The work of Dr. Wakefield and his colleagues deserves to be shared with the world to further, rather than censor, scientific progress.

Spread the word. Jim knows it, I know it, now you know it. Walk the talk I do not vaccinate my children.

Raw Food Diet for Cats Miracle Cure Testimonials

February 7, 2010 by Good Samaritan

I remember from the human raw omnivore discussions that some of the human practitioners initially got interested in a raw omnivore diet for themselves as they were encouraged by the fantastic results they got with the healing of their own pets.

In this example excerpt from a discussion forum, a cat pet owner is sharing her success with curing her cat’s bleeding colitis:

I have been converted. Do any of you cat lovers out there feed your cat a raw meat diet? Cats are true carnivores. Their dietary systems work best digesting raw meat, like they get in the wild. (mice, moles, etc. ) We have two cats who were fed high quality dry food with occasional canned food.

One developed a severe case of colitis, with bloody stools, blood clots in the litter box, obvious discomfort to her. We tried every different type of cat food imaginable, no improvement. After the vet told us she would probably have to be on steroids for the rest of her life, I looked up alternate diets for cats who have colitis, and found a website by a vet that advocated a raw meat diet. We followed the recipe, started the diet, and within 24 hrs (no kidding) she stopped bleeding and hasn’t had a problem since. She is healthier now than ever before, beautiful coat, more active and playful. Her brother, had an obesity problem at 22 lbs eating dry food. We put him on the raw meat diet and he has lost 7 lbs, is healthy and frisky. They both love it. It worked for us. Anyone else doing it?

The original discussion in 2006 can be seen at http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/petdebate/msg110107055587.html

The simple logic they say is that cats are a raw carnivorous species. It is species appropriate for them to be given raw meats and organs and bones… the entire animal. Cats are hunters and they must be fed like the hunters they are. This is species appropriate feeding.

Maybe this should tweak your curiosity about how beneficial this may be for omnivorous pet dogs.

What I’d like you to be more curious about is what is the species appropriate diet for humans? What illnesses would you like to get rid of? Would you like to feel young, healthy, and drug free?

Check out www.rawpaleodiet.com, a raw omnivorous diet may be the species appropriate diet for you.

Book Review of The Recipe for Living Without Disease by Aajonus Vonderplanitz

February 5, 2010 by Good Samaritan

Aajonus Vonderplanitz is known to be an eccentric healer who suggests a lot of raw meat, fat and some stinky rotten meats for healing. This book enlightens the reader about the science and the lengthy experience behind those recommendations. At the end of reading this book, you will want to experiment with the diet yourself.

In volume 1, Aajonus begins by giving a colorful background of how he had learned about these things by experience in curing his own diseases and with that of his patients. He then moves on to explain the true causes of disease, toxicity and how to reverse it. Aajonus tweaks your curiousity on why you eat cooked food and processed food and the seemingly funny but often asked question is can we digest raw food? Then there are the questions of bacteria, sleep and bowel movements.

In volume 2, Aajonus explains about taste and explains more about the best raw foods and food combining for proper digestion and assimilation. Aajonus moves on to optimizing his raw food diet in a recipe for removing deep tissue toxicity, for weight loss, for travel and baby food. Next are the all important recipes, how to make them and what they are good at addressing which health conditions. Read, re-read, print out this section and have a bound copy in your kitchen.

In volume 3, Aajonus explains more about the science of nutrition, the cholesterol myth and why real raw food is better than processed supplements.

In volume 4, Aajonus exposes the wayward direction of modern western medicine, how their false concepts of disease, germs and parasites have brought detriment millions of people around the world.

This book belongs to your small library of must-read and must-keep books for reference. Aajonus’ experiences as not just a long time raw foodist’s but as a long time healer of many people is a treasure that must be documented and preserved. It is unfortunate that I found myself lactose intolerant cannot consume raw dairy. But besides my intolerance to dairy, I find that the principles laid out by Aajonus are all solid.

The book The Recipe for Living Without Disease is Aajonus Vonderplanitz’ second book after he wrote his first book, The Primal Diet: We Want to Live. It is available at http://www.wewant2live.com

Video: Making lots of coconut milk and packing them

February 4, 2010 by Good Samaritan

This is how lots of coconut milk is made and packed in a certain coconut stall in Farmers Market in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines.

Coconut milk / coconut cream is popular with Primal Diet followers.

In the Philippines, coconut milk is cooked as part of many dishes. The local name is “gata”.

Raw Coconut milk / coconut cream is viewed as good fats by Aajonus Vonderplanitz and his Primal Diet followers, but personally anything more than a tablespoon of raw coconut milk may upset my stomach. Locally, the coconut vendors and most Filipinos do not drink glass fulls of this stuff. The interest is as a sauce in fruit salads / deserts or cooked in main dishes.

Therapeutic Massage Helps Overcome Infertility

February 4, 2010 by Good Samaritan

When my wife and I had our first baby, we were so elated we wanted another one. Unfortunately, after 4 months of trying to conceive, we were unsuccessful. Now our tolerance for secondary infertility was very low. We immediately sought help from our obstetrician. She prescribed fertility pills for 6 months but with no results. We set on to find other alternative means.

We read about diet and cleaned up our act by eliminating processed food and junk food. We threw out our microwave oven. We eliminated all drugs and lotions. I ate raw oysters to increase my sperm count.

I made a call to all friends and relatives that we were in search of a therapeutic massage expert. Our nannie had an aunt who was a therapeutic massage expert and midwife who was reputed to have been the final ingredient that made many women pregnant. We sought her assistance, she had expertise in manually fixing uterus positions. Many infertility cases she says comes from the uterus being out of position. In our language, this expert is called a “hilot”.

The “hilot” visited us for 3 Wednesdays in December 2002. She told us on the 2nd Wednesday that my wife would still bleed this December, but that she would surely be pregnant by January 2003.

January 18, we were so excited and took a test kit. Negative. Pffft… so much for hilot. Wife said she’ll just begin a work out program. I had to go back and get a new sperm analysis. Sperm analysis comes out 300 million per ml. Whoa! I should be able to get any girl pregnant at this count. Wife calls on my cell phone on January 25, 2003 and declares… I’m pregnant!

The hilot was absolutely correct, she called it. In fact, our lifestyle change and the hilot’s caring was so good, my wife became unexpectedly pregnant again after just some 6 months after giving birth to our 2nd child. So we wound up with 2 additional children for our infertility fighting effort. We now have a total of 3 children.

Farmers Market Video: Office to market in 2 minutes!

February 3, 2010 by Good Samaritan

Video shows off my proximity to Farmer’s Market in Cubao. I’m so dedicated to raw fresh food for myself and my family I decided to hold office beside my favorite wet market.

Go down the elevator and turn left, I’m in the market.
Flowers, fruits, vegetables, on the left side are hordes of sea food stalls and on the right are land animals.
The land animals you see being sold are goats, chicken, pork, beef and with all their ofal / internal organs.

In this video I buy more than a kilo of raw tuna and more than 3 kilos of beef, part of it for my lunch.
