Diabetes Treatment Guidelines Success with Paleo Diet and Bitter Melon Tea

June 17, 2011 by Good Samaritan

Some 2 months ago I had a heart to heart talk with my stock broker’s messenger, Adel about how he can cure his diabetes. I documented that here. http://www.myhealthblog.org/2011/04/25/bitter-melon-tea-for-diabetes-good-deed-for-the-day/

I talked to Adel about the Paleo Diet. And that he needs a lot of fat in his diet. That he should not be following the defunct food pyramid with minimal fat to the point of avoidance. That his doctor’s advice was inept and totally wrong. Adel now eats soft boiled eggs, and pork with lots of fat. That cholesterol and heart diseases hypothesis is all baloney. I did suggest beef but that may be out of his budget.

I taught Adel how to eat. And I also taught him to eat 1/4 of a raw bitter melon fruit daily. And I taught him how to use bitter melon tea to control his blood sugar levels fast. Always have bitter melon tea bags handy. 1 cup of bitter melon teach after every meal and at before bed makes 4 cups a day.

In just 2 weeks, Adel had his blood sugar under control. In a few more weeks his complexion had changed from tired and old to young, happy and strong. He has changed. He may not be executing the paleo diet correctly but he has discarded the worst culprits like crackers, candy, bread and other wheat products. The bitter melon tea worked. He forgot about coffee.

Adel owes me a video interview. The next time he comes by my office I will be taking his video testimony. I will have to ask him about diabetes and ed next time.

Spine Specialists Take a Look: On Gluten Spine Curved, Off Gluten Spine Straight and Strong

June 15, 2011 by Good Samaritan

Yo spine specialists, take a look at this! Dana did a little experimenting and photography. She tells us her results with her gluten on and gluten off experiments. Dana tells us in pictures so we can understand better.

Pictures of my spine one day after eating grains (wearing blue shirt), my spine curves out and I can not stand up any straighter than this or bend over any further than this. Two days after eliminating all grains again (wearing orange shirt) my spine is normal again.

Off potatoes, rice, and tomatoes too. Back on primal/gaps diet.

Off all “gluten-free” chips too. This happened after eating “gluten-free” corn tortillas.

You do not have to get a doctor to give you an opinion if you have gluten intolerance. All you need to do is experiment by changing your diet and see how that affects you.

Let’s thank Dana for letting us know in graphic pictures just how visibly significant gluten allergies can be.

In paleo diet philosophy, gluten was never a part of the original nature specified diet we humans evolved under.

Looking for lower back pain relief? Maybe you don’t need to take something. Maybe you have to avoid something… gluten and nightshades?

Paleo diet is marine / terrestrial animal meat, vegetables and fruit.

1600s Visayan Philippines: Lots of Honey, Lots of Fruit, Lots of Fish, Lots of Wild Game

June 13, 2011 by Good Samaritan

I was just fascinated reading this morning a book by William Henry Scott: Barangay 16th century Philippine Culture and Society. Wow, our ancestors. Unreal. Philippines, a land of plenty, too much bounty. Filipinos living in abundance. They had too much free time for tatoos, for drinking, for feasting, and sexual stuff. But on to food.

Honey. Lots of it, lots and lots of it. There was no sugar. But there was lots of honey. A honey hunter is expected to gather some 50 bee hives a year!!! Lots of really good wild honey during those times.

Fish. Over 221 words and different varieties. Tons and tons of them. In the streams, in the rivers, in the lakes, in the mangroves… absolutely no need for deep sea fishing, the fish were all there.

Domesticated animals: pigs and chickens. Sabong is an indigenous Filipino pastime.

Wild game. Our ancestors had hunting dogs and would easily catch fat wild pigs, fattened by all the tons of falling fruit. There were also deer, bayawak, pythons, turtles, turtle eggs, dugongs, eel, clams, crabs, etc.

Fruit. Tons of it, more so than the tons of fruits we have today. And in greater variety. All picked and eaten fresh, tree ripened and unripe.

They had a budding rice production at that time but relied more on root crops.

They got drunk, often, for socials, just like Filipino society these days. The traditional alcoholic beverages we know today like basi and tuba are Filipino indigenous inventions. And all this boozing about were indigenous Filipino culture.

16th century Philippines was a land of plenty. Too plenty. Biologically diverse. Too good. And it was all true.

Buy yourself a copy of the book. It’s got more… a lot more.

Fishkills in Batangas, Taal, Dagupan – People are Afraid to Buy Farmed Fish Fed with Chicken Poop

June 7, 2011 by Good Samaritan

What do the Taal lake fish pen kill, Batangas fish ponds fish kill and Dagupan / Bolinao fish pen fish kill have in common? They are all farmed. Note that the wild fish were not dying in droves, only the farmed fish were dying in the tons. They have all this excuse about oxygen low in the water… but let’s get real… it is an industry practice admitted in news paper articles that the farmed fish are mostly fed chicken manure / chicken poop / chicken sh**.

Come on, us regular folk have taken cared of pets and we never feed them chicken poop. Us regular folk have taken cared of aquarium fish and we don’t feed our fish chicken poop. Is it not about TIME you fish pond industry people start SUSPECTING that your fish feed and chicken manure feed may be the problem? Maybe the feeds being fed the chickens were toxic that became toxic chicken manure? Maybe the feeds being fed to the chickens nowadays are mostly GMO? Did you ever think about that?

My entire point is I’m not buying farmed fish because you feed the farmed fish chicken manure / chicken poop / chicken sh** and it is gross and sets the alarm bells in my head to unbearable levels.

I don’t believe in the over-crowding theory. If that were true, then why would Dagupan / Bolinao suffer the same fish kill in the same time frame? Dagupan / Bolinao has fresh sea water you know, so the over-crowding theory is bunk.

Media has been mis-directed again. Come on media guys. Take a look at the FISH FEED, the FISH FOOD. What is the industry feeding their FISH? Suspect the FISH FOOD! The fish feed pellets, the fish feed chicken manure. INVESTIGATE THAT!

Note: I was just in Farmers Market Cubao and rumor from my butcher was that security confiscated all bangus / milk fish being sold by vendors. Seems market management did not want to take a chance. Market management wants a clean perception from the public that they will not tolerate selling of farmed fish from the fish kill areas at this time.

Paleo Diet Food Plate Replaces Food Pyramid

June 4, 2011 by Good Samaritan

So the USDA came up with their food plate.  Totally gross.  As Jayjay of cavemanforum.com put it: “The USDA has one purpose, to support the U.S. agricultural industry. Anyone who thinks they are dispensing advice for the good of humanity and/or public health is very, very misguided.”Continue Reading

Earthquake Survival Supplies: Conceptualizing Healthy Food Supplies

June 1, 2011 by Good Samaritan

Getting ready for comet Elenin and possible earthquakes it may cause that could lead to temporary disruption of electricity and commerce. The food and water must not only allow for survival, but also for thriving. Must have water and food. Here are my initial thoughts.

Will have lots of water jugs, those 5 gallon types you put upside down in a dispenser or maybe the blue boxy types which have their own faucet. Maybe some alkalizing sticks, maybe MMS drops, maybe hydrogen peroxide to cleanse the water of filth and germs. At the same time we need a gravity filter if we run out of those clean water stocks.

Rice, rice from single grain varieties straight from the province. Not those blended rice in Manila. Maybe get the most nutritious rice we can get. Organic Ifugao rice maybe or equivalent, several full sacks. Our household consumes maybe 1 full sack a month, so we will need several full sacks.

Sardines and other canned goods for meat. Wild ocean stuff would be nutritious. Find those without MSG and without the troublesome nightshade tomato sauce.

Fat, I’ll trust in canned ghee – clarified butter. This is saturated fat in a can. Good enough.

Dried fish? Raw honey? Virgin coconut oil? Some vitamin c supplements that my wife thinks they work.

Of course some charcoal for cooking, lighters, and newspapers for lighting the charcoal.

This is just the food concept list. Maybe 6 months worth of supplies good enough?

Which gets me thinking if I should get this survival guide: Survive Anything

Depression Cure in 15 Minutes Testimony with Milk Thisle

May 31, 2011 by Good Samaritan

Great report. Lucky guy. His depression was uplifted in 15 minutes with his intake of milk thisle supplements. It was just what he needed and it came in the right time. He is baffled, he wants to know how this came about. Soberman88 of curezone explains:

So ive been on these forums for months and months trying to figure out the deal with my body. Ive been through every conclusion like adrenal fatigue, candida, thyroid problems, you name it, ive thought of it.

But i think its my liver! Yesterday I took some Milk Thistle for the first time in my life. I thought why not right? I only took 20mg which is small amount. I was amazed! My depression was uplifted within 15 minutes. I had bowel movements which were kind of loose, but thats awesome considering my bowels were frozen before hand. I had more energy and felt great.

Is it possible that the liver can contribute to depression, weight loss, low energy, bad skin, and anything else thats bad for our body? Thats another thing, my skin on my face became slightly more hydrated and not as dry.

Is Milk Thistle really this strong? Im just shocked at what I experienced after years of trying everything! I mean everything. I wasnt absorbing any nutrients, NOTHING. And Milk Thistle in a small amount made me feel this great?!?

Can anybody help on this one?

Klauss explains it:

milk thistle summary:

Properties:
Hepato-protective: Protects liver cells from incoming toxins, thereby also allowing it to more effectively process and release toxins that are already built up in the system.

Hepato-tonic: Strengthens the liver to function more effectively.

Anti-depressant: By helping to move stagnant liver energy.

Demulcent: Soothes and moistens. For both kidney and bladder irritations, as well as mucous membranes and inflammations of the skin and integumentary system.

Laxative: Mildly lubricates the bowels.

I explained it to him this way:

Whatever nutrition that was in the milk thisle you consumed was just what your body needed at that time.

Lucky break for you.

Look up raw paleo diet so you don’t need to guess which supplement you need.

Raw paleo diet is the most nutritious diet in the world. Bar none. Properly executed, you get abundant nutrition in excess of what you need and your body knows what to do with it so there are no overdoses. No complicated hit and miss chemistry experiments with artificial supplements.
