Fiber Myth and Cholesterol Reduction Hoax

Here is an entertaining monologue by Konstantin Monastyrsky: Dietary fiber in food and supplements is broadly promoted for the prevention of heart disease because, allegedly, it lowers cholesterol. Actually, this is a lie — not only does fiber not reduce cholesterol or prevent heart disease, it also increases your risk of atherosclerosis, heart attack, sudden cardiac arrest, and stroke by reducing HDL (“good” ) cholesterol and blocking the assimilation of essential nutrients.

This is for all you study junkies.

Author’s note:

I once got a call from a high-flying lawyer, a friend of a friend who had given him a copy of Fiber Menace to ponder over. I met the guy only once — a distinguished-looking fellow in his early sixties, a “power broker” directly from central casting. He was married to a very attractive lady, two decades younger, also a prominent personality in her own right.

Out of the blue, he had called to tell me that my book was “crap,” and that what I know about nutrition is “crap” too. All that, because the fiber from rolled oats that he had been eating for ages kept him young, fit, and healthy. And if I had any doubts about his vitality, then just one look at his wife would prove it “beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Taken aback by this unusually sharp affront, I still managed to ask him what his reaction would be, if I had thrashed out any of his legal opinions just as categorically as he had just trashed my book based on my recent experience winning a case in the Small Claims Court. He hung up without answer.

Few months later this cocksure boor ended up in hospital with a massive stroke from which he never fully recovered. Had he read my book without prejudice, he — for all I know — might still have been sowing his wild oats instead of withering away in the wheelchair.

Senior Citizen Law of 20% Discounts Benefiting the Senior Drug Addict Victims

So the DSWD finally published the IRR of the new Senior Citizen’s Law giving 20% straight discounts to seniors and at the same time cancelling any VAT. Wow. I asked a senior couple how this benefits them. They said it is applicable to restaurants, local air travel and the BEST they said is for their monthly PRESCRIPTION DRUGS!!! For the husband alone he spends xx,000 pesos a month just on prescription drugs!!!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha… hooeeyyy… this guy bought the farm and the kitchen sink and all the baloney his drug pusher pushed on him. All the while the drug pushers are taking their international vacations, he’s popping those pills supporting the drug pusher and his cohorts’ lifestyle. Talk about being the chump. The patsy. The sucker sucked out of his hard earned pension funds. And those drugs don’t make him healthy. Not one bit. But don’t tell this to him straight in the face. He’s liable to be angry at you for telling the truth. You won’t be friends no more.

This is the thing for all you younger sets who have not bought into the drug cartel’s brainwashing yet. Don’t fall for it. Don’t let their scare tactics fool you. There are far better ways of living than be drug zombies. Your health and brain do not have to go down the drain due to drug pushers. There are FAR BETTER WAYS.

Did you know that by merely adjusting your diet and living habits you can rid yourself of any symptoms of old age discomfort? That you can and will look and perform 20 years younger than your senior peer drug zombies? I’ve been to their main office and there does not seem to be any organized effort from the company to seriously market the same brand abroad. Juicing Ideas: Avocado Shake using Avocados + Raw Coconut Milk + Raw Honey

This breakfast, the whole household had raw avocado + raw coconut milk + raw honey shake. We just pop them in the blender. Then put whole ice cubes in our glass. Healthy “ice cream”. Kids like this latest invention. My sister in law invented it.

Now they found a new way to enjoy the avocado shake – by freezing them into ice cubes. Not just ordinary cubes, animal shapes. Their aunt bought them animal shaped ice trays. Cool fun.

This is a fat (avocado) + fat (coconut milk) + some carbs drink. Be full immediately.




Food Calorie Counting is the Dumbest Thing Ever!

Absolutely fabulous reply by Mr YS in the raw paleo forum. Someone was asking about the calorie content of bone marrow. I myself have never counted calories. Why? It does not make sense at all. There is no logic. I’m an engineer and we measured calories but it has no connection with food as human fuel. Did you notice in all my blogs I never talk about my calorie consumption?

YS explains it better.

“why do you care about calories? calories and health have absolutely nothing in common.
food calorie is the dumbest thing ever.

calorie is a thermal unit that measures the amount of thermal energy. it was invented somewhere in the dark ages to describe how our bodies use energy from food by burning food in the air. well, there is absolutely nothing that burns in our bodies, instead there are highly complex chemical reactions with tons of dependencies and variables. how can anyone equate it to simply burning food in the air?

no one is complaining about this nonsense because the concept of calorie is very convenient and it drives billion dollar industries such as food, medical, diet, fitness, etc.

here is an example of how ridiculous concept of food calorie is. has anyone tried to estimate how many food calories it takes to grow our nails, hair, or replacing skin cells? or generate new blood cells, hormones, recycle old cells? you’ll never find an answer. try asking this question to a “registered dietitian” just for the kicks.

food calories are as useful as dog poop, so instead i would use weight to measure the amount of food.
i personally do not weigh my food, i eat until i’m not hungry and that’s it. if i ate less than my body needs, i’ll get hungry sooner, if i ate more then it’ll take more time until my next meal. heck, animals don’t weigh their food.”
