Just saw the movie Crazy Sexy Cancer by Kris Carr and this is my shooting from the hip review, my knee jerk reaction.  Actually, I was reacting as I was watching the film.  I was once ignorant myself, just like her.  My eczema was a better teacher, because I could see it everyday, no need for those special diagnostic equipment Kris Carr had to endure.

First Durian of the year 2008

Yesterday afternoon my wife brought home a gorgeous Durian.  The first Durian in the house for the 2008 season.  P 100 per kilo.  This one came in at 3 kilos so it was worth 300 pesos.  We opened it up and the whole thing was going in 10 minutes.  You have to understand that I love the smell and taste of durian, and my 3 kids inherited the same love for the smell and taste of durian.

I drove up the mountains of Antipolo last Sunday to buy my fruits. I was looking for wild mountain fruit. The kind of fruit where the sellers just pick freely. I was rewarded with a set of 3 marangs for 110 pesos. They said they picked it from the surroundings. It was ripe, sweet and yummy.
