Simple headache cured immediately by hydrating with coconut juice

November 11, 2008 by Good Samaritan

My 5 year old boy came home after lunch yesterday and was complaining he had a headache. I asked where. He said, everywhere his whole head.

I had just finished lunch and we still had half a pitcher of fresh raw newly opened coconut juice. So I immediately filled my adult glass to half and gave it to my 5 year old boy. He quizzically expressed his doubts as to what good is that supposed to do.

I taught my boy that most headaches are mere signals of dehydration. You may not feel thirsty, but indeed you are thirsty. If you have been drinking water, it is pointless and ineffective usually because it is of the incorrect structure. My 7 year old illustrates with his body that when he drinks regular water, it merely makes a stop over at his stomach and heads straight to be urinated. But when he drinks coconut juice he feels the coconut juice dispersing throughout his body and he does not feel like urinating it. The innocent observation of a 7 year old is what we should be listening to.

Back to my 5 year old, in about 2 minutes of drinking that half glass of coconut juice his headache was gone and I got a big kiss. Very simple solution, great rewards!

For those who live in a place where there are no coconuts? Squeeze a lemon, an orange, or any citrus in water and wait 5 minutes to give it structure. Drink this. Better yet, open a hydrating fruit like water melon and eat.

I tried Sally Fallon of the book Nourishing Traditions recipe for Fish Stock

November 7, 2008 by Good Samaritan

A few days ago I decided to try and make sole fish stock as described in page 119 of Sally Fallon’s book: Nourishing Traditions. This is a hands on application of Dr. Weston A Price’s teachings. The reason I’m getting into the cooked recipes in this book is because I observed that it may take more time for me to overcome the resistance of my wife to more raw animal foods and that my children are also influenced by my wife and the maids around them. So I will have to learn to feed them much better cooked food while still hammering on more raw food.

“…meat stocks are extremely nutritious, containing the minerals of bone, cartilage, marrow and vegetables as electrolytes, a form that is easy to assimilate. Acidic wine or vinegar added during cooking helps to draw minerals, particularly calcium, magnesium and potassium into the broth.”

“Raw food compounds are colloidal and tend to be hydrophilic, meaning they attract liquids. Thus, when we eat a salad or some other raw food, the hydrophilic colloids attract digestive juices for rapid and effective digestion. Colloids that have been heated are generally hydrophobic – they repel liquids, making foods harder to digest. However, the proteinaceous gelatin in meat broths has the unusual property by which gelatin attracts water to form desserts, like Jello, allows it to attract digestive juices to the surface of cooked food particles.”

In my fish stock I bought 1 whole kilo of sole and added all the materials required: butter, onions, carrot, thyme, parsley, bay leaf, my white wine was yacon wine, organic coconut vineger, and filtered water. We let the stock simmer for 4 hours.

And upon refrigeration, yes! My stock turned gelatinous – meaning we did a good job! Hooray, now my cook knows how to do this. Next time we will try beef… but that takes a long time… 12 hours.

Here is a picture of my gelatinous fish stock:

Student of nursing apalled that Dr. Tam Mateo is not a western medical doctor

November 7, 2008 by Good Samaritan

A student nurse has “questions” ridiculing the knowledge of Dr. Tam Mateo because in his opinion he does not respect Dr. Tam’s credentials because he says Dr. Tam is not a western medical doctor. Seems this student nurse has a lot to learn and should brush up on reading the internet to be exposed to other better doctors than mere western mds who are mostly mere pawns of drug companies. In my experience, the good western MDs are those in emergency cases… western mds for diseases are mostly ineffective… in fact they batted a big fat zero for myself… this is why I had to look beyond their idiocy.

My answer to the student nurse is that Dr. Tam is a NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR. And Dr. Tam says that and posts that on his brochures and his store… The First Naturopathic doctor in the Philippines. Dr. Tam dropped everything and learned about true cures to save his wife from cancer, which he did. So he knows about curing cancer than your regular western MD who says “there is no cure for cancer” — idiots.

The first lesson Dr. Tam teaches is constipation, how to be free of constipation, with is the root of many diseases. And Dr. Tam has one of the most powerful, potent and fast acting original product the Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea… it is a herbal colon cleanser… freshly made without preservatives. When all your drug laxatives have failed… Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea will always come through for you. It works so fast… appendicitis operations have been cancelled because Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea acts fast enough to save people from appendicitis.

Now what does your western MD education teach you about constipation and colon cleansing as the root of most diseases? Toxicity? Self intoxication? Do hospital procedures first suspect constipation and the cure for constipation and the prevention of constipation to prevent and cure a vast majority of diseases? Nope. They don’t. I know in Russia, they do.

Dr. Tam deserves our respect because he teaches… for free! You can attend his Sunday seminars for free! No need to pay him… no commitment to buy anything… free trial of his Miracle Tea! Why? It is because health education challenged narrow minded people need education and to personally experience TRUTH.

I’m not saying that I agree with all of Dr. Tam’s opinions, I’m saying he is on the right track and he indeed has helped many people. Dr. Tam is a raw foodist, the raw vegan kind. I’m a raw foodist, the raw omnivore kind… I eat raw organic fruits and raw organic vegetables like dr. Tam, and I add raw organic / wild animal foods as well.

Dr. Tam deserves our love and respect because he does great amounts of free GOOD in the Philippines. By educating his patients he sets you FREE… FREEDOM from the chains of idiotic western MD wrong hypothesis about diseases.

Here is the comment left by confucianism_bryancoasts0418@yahoo.com of IP Address 121.1.11.162 last 2008/11/05 at the http://www.myhealthblog.org/2007/05/23/pitahc-dr-tam-mateo-nd-on-cancer/ article:

“so i have a question for everyone…i have been told by some that its effective…some not…but first let me ask you is dr tam an medical doctor?…he can be called as a doctor as well maybe because of PhD… in the prescription i couldnt see any MD at the end of his name…and the question he prescribes his medicine to different diseases yet did he able to study every disease???….im under a medical field im a student nurse….as to what the broad of knowledge i have in the course of medicine you have to study every disease that has a specialty for two years…how old is dr tam?…did he start studying medicine since 3 years old?…wake up people…”

Disagreeing with a fructose = fruit opinion causing weight gain and more

November 6, 2008 by Good Samaritan

I’m harping here against a low-carb blog opinion about fruit being unhealthy for humans entitled “Fructose–Not as healthy as it appears to be” which is a simplistic chemical mindset view of what food is. These chemical people are primitive in their pseudo science as they equate fruit = fructose.

See http://lowcarb4u.blogspot.com/2008/07/fructose-not-as-healthy-as-it-appears.html with the snippet in the post:

“Fructose is the sugar is found in most fruits. Like glucose, it is a simple sugar, but our bodies handle fructose in a special way. Look at the diagram below, which appears in Fructose, weight gain, and the insulin resistance syndrome by Sharon Elliot and coauthors.”

Weight gain my foot from fruits? These authors are non-experiential in their approach. Have they ever met a FAT fruitarian? There are no FAT fruitarians! Fruits cannot make people fat. Cooked grains, cooked potatoes do make people fat… routinely… in the millions! Check out the ridiculous chemical diagram:

These simply “distilled opinion” of what I think is garbage about chemicalizing food. Saying fruit = sugar or fruit = fructose. Which in my opinion is baloney and wrong. Just as we cannot just lump protein = beef = wild salmon = wild tuna = farmed fish or FAT = canola oil = butter = beef brains = marrow = extra virgin olive oil

This is why we humans crave for variety. All these foods are different. All these foods give different results. All these foods have different nutrition.

Fruit is of paleolithic heritage. In tropical and forested areas, people had to snack on fruit for hydration and food in between kills of meat.

Paleolithic times does not mean exclusively ice age times… where people were forced to be carnivorous… the ice ages came in and out.

Weston Price studied different isolated healthy tribes and eskimos were just one of them.

In times of healing… not so sweet fruits are used as fasting tools.

What i’m saying is that this diagram about fructose may be true for PURE fructose as a chemical but certainly DOES NOT apply to all the fruits of today and up to 5 million years ago.

This post does not mean to suggest to go either high carb or low carb… it merely suggests that fruits are a paleolithic food and the amount of fruits people ate would have depended on where they were and what kind of fruits were available and at what season.

Which fruits are bad? Commercially farmed with chemical fertilizers, all forms of pesticides, herbicides, molluscisides, fungicides, etc. Then picked to early, then irradiated, sprayed to ripen with chemicals. Sprayed with preservatives at the store. Probably even canned, preserved, or dried with even more chemicals. And they call this “fruit”.

Which fruits are good? Organic, wild, picked ripe, eaten immediately with none of the above chemicals and processing.

Note to newbies… quantify everything… read and experience for yourself.

Sick 5 year old girl finally poops is cured. Goes to school today.

November 6, 2008 by Good Samaritan

The 5 year old girl visiting us finally pooped 2 days ago after 5 days of being sick and non-pooping.  I hope this serves as education for parents to seriously monitor the pooping schedule of their children.  This girl was sick merely due to constipation.  And this constipation is caused by an extremely low fat diet and processed food.

Yesterday this little girl missed on poop again.  Today she will have to be monitored if she will poop today.

This breakfast I watched helplessly as this little girl’s nannie gave this 5 year old girl her breakfast: white rice, hasa hasa fish left over from last night, Milo chocolate milk drink, and commercial hotdogs.

I joked this morning that since the little girl is cured, you can now push hotdogs and Milo on her.  And pushing it indeed was what the nannie was doing.  She sternly watched as the child forced herself to finish 1 full cup of Milo.

For those who just joined us, my critique is Milo is a processed product which has changed many hands and undergone much processing.  Chocolate is from the fruit cacao, dried, crushed, stored, mixed in, packaged, reconstituted.  The milk is from some commercial farm raised cow, pasteurized, powdered, stored, mixed in, packaged, reconstituted.  And whatever the company wants to mix in to the package.

Hotdogs are the non-saleable parts of cows, pigs, chickens and probably some surprise animals on non-animals in it.  Who really knows what is in a hotdog?  Plus chemicals as preservatives, flavorings, and food colorings.  Then you fry it, frying being the worst cooking method… and fried in what commercial vegetable oil with the worst fat profile?

This little girl is tons pretty… must be the genes… but genes only go so far… If this little girl were given a sane diet such as a Weston Price type diet, she would be healthy instead of sickly.  And she should be pooping once per day.

5 years old, sick with cough, cold and constipated for 5 days

November 3, 2008 by Good Samaritan

We have a visitor, a pretty 5 year old little girl.  My wife’s adopted nephew via her cousin.  She’s staying to heal as they have reported severe unlivable allergic reaction to their neighbor’s poultry.

The girl had a terrible deathly cough and congested nasal passages.  She felt terrible and weak.

My diagnosis. This little girl has been taking a beating with everything being done wrong to her.  She’s lucky to have strong genes and at her age has overactive enzymes still running.  This girl is on drugs right now, anti allergy medication and expectorants, she was given anti cough medication that didn’t work.  She only eats a few imported fruits, apples, grapes and oranges were put in our refrigerator — imported means sprayed, non-organic, polluted. She eats a low fat diet… always lean meat and white rice… no veggies, no fat, no butter… just “vegetable” cooking oil for frying… and her meat is fried fish, or fried hotdogs, or fried ground beef… and no fat, because her parents have bought all the ideas on television on how fat is bad for people.

This child sleeps in the oddest inverted hours, usually 12 midnight, sometimes 1, 2, 3am.  Then wakes up almost afternoon.

And the worst part I learned today is the little child is constipated.  She has not pooped since wednesday and it is already monday.  This is a total disaster.

In the past few days she had some relief with her medication suppressing her symptoms,  I let them borrow my zapper, she had inhaled steam for her mucus relief which I dropped some 2 drops of oregano oil.  Her father agreed to using quantum mineral drops on her forehead and chest to relieve her of her pains.  She seems better today, but still no pooping.

I had been hammering at the issue of constipation and Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea colo cleanse for 2 days to her dad, but it will take some time for his mindset to catch up.  I had told my sister in law, the closest one to do something about the child’s constipation.  5 days of non-pooping is a national disaster… it’s an emergency… they do not see it yet… I can just scream my head off, but that isn’t manly.

I would hate to see a child this young just suddenly drop dead of self-poisoning due to non-pooping.

It’s obscene, this Filipino child does not recognize chico, papaya, nor coconuts as food.

Experimenting with Indian Ghee — Clarified Butter for cooking

November 3, 2008 by Good Samaritan

As much as I want my whole family to turn raw paleolithic diet, it will take some time.  I have therefore settled to begin with semi raw / cooked diet following the principles of Weston A Price’s teachings.  Along with the cookbook of Sally Falon, maybe I can make something happen for my wife and kids.  This weekend I began by buying our first can of Indian Ghee — clarified butter from the Indian grocery Assad.

They had 4 different brands of Ghee, 2 from India and 2 from Australia.  The store keeper pointed me to the most popular ghee in the store.  It came in a 1 liter can at 390 pesos… not cheap.  So happily I went home and started experimenting with it.

I opened it and it had clear golden yellow fluid on top and at the bottom was more solid waxy stuff.  Probably the same thing, it melts in the pan.

Now frying as I have said before is the worst type of cooking.  But it is the favorite form of cooking of our maids. So at least if I substitute ghee for their cooking oil, everyone benefits immediately.

Found out that ghee smells good and tastes good.  I ate ugly fried food to test out this new cooking oil.  My in laws wanted to fry catfish and they did.  Everyone agreed ghee was great stuff.  This morning I bought raw dulong, tiny 1 cm or less long fish and it is mixed with scrambled fertilized eggs then quickly fried a couple of seconds each side.  This sucked up oil… but I hope ghee is good enough oil at least those who eat it will come out better than eating so called organic but I suspect hydrogenated coconut oil, and virgin coconut oil does not taste good on fried food, in fact vco tastes awful on fried food.

I’ve seen Indian website pontificate about the goodness of ghee.  They use it for massage oil, for healing burns, as a carrier oil for herbs, oil for lamps and cooking as it is the best cooking oil in their country.
