Chlorella and Spirulina combo constipates me and my brother

October 24, 2006 by goodsamaritan

My brother was recently hospitalized due to shortness of breath, with a slight fever, due to extreme constipation caused by taking chlorella and spirulina combination as described in www.chlorellafactor.com

Was it the brand? He used Solgar for the chlorella and the Healthy Options brand for the spirullina. Initially taking some 2.5 grams of chlorella and 5.0 grams of spirulina per day.

It was my turn to test this theory on myself. I took the same dosages but used Solgar brand of spirulina. I took the same quantities per day. And I found myself constantly constipated! How can this be? I pride myself in dumping at least 1 per day due to my improved eating of fresh vegetables daily.

I tried improving my situation by taking 2 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil to help my bowels move. No avail. I experienced bowel movement intervals of 2 to 3 days. Very bad. To the point that I experienced a slight fever and flu like symptoms with headache. Darn. Obvious toxin build up and this is my third day!

Drastic measures, I had to hydrate myself and bought 2 bottles of Gatorade and gulped them straight down. I then took 4 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil. I drank hot green tea to get my bowels moving. It has to move tonight! Before I sleep!

I got a fair sized bowel movement. I know there is more stuck in my gut. But it will have to do for now. Immediately my headache stopped, my fever is down, and I’m here typing to report to you my experience.

I’m not taking that chlorella and spirulina combination again. It may have worked for Mike Adams, but it sure constipated me and my brother.

I tried a 3 day Virgin Coconut Oil Detox against Candida

October 21, 2006 by goodsamaritan

Last weekend I did a 3 day virgin coconut oil detox beginning Friday and ending Monday. I followed the recipe from the book Coconut Cures by Bruce Fife. Basically, I chose not to eat any food and just stick to 2 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil (VCO) every 2 hours beginning 8am until you consume up to 10 tablespoons in a day. I supplement this with fresh lemonade with sea salt, some coconut meat, and a lot of plain yoghurt. I tried mixing the VCO with the lemon juice, but I found that I preferred drinking the VCO straight from a spoon.

My objective. I recently diagnosed myself with jock itch. Since jock itch is yeast induced, I figured I needed to do a candida cleanse. Looking in the natural health websites showed that candida cures took several months to accomplish. I tried using garlic under the soles of my feet and that gave me relief for 1 day. But I read that a 3 to 7 day VCO detox can wipe out candida easily by starving it and killing it at the same time!

My results? The 1st day of my detox I found the urge to release my bowels at least 4 times that day. In my 2nd day, with food relatively empty, I unloaded what looked like jets of white “smokey” clouds. Were they the yeast I so wanted to get rid off? My 3rd day brought me hunger and some heart pain. I decided to continue taking my chlorella and spirulina supplements to give me some nutrition. But by the end of monday I felt uneasy about the heart pain I decided to eat a late dinner before going to bed. By wednesday, the heart pain was gone.

Did the VCO detox kill the yeast that caused the jock itch? During the 3 days I was on VCO detox there was no jock itch, no itch at all. By thursday I felt some itch. But the itch went away Friday and no itch today Saturday.

I will think about scheduling a 2nd VCO detox next week just to make sure the my yeast population is checked.

Do I think VCO detox is effective against candida? Absolutely. Try it.

Healing skin damaged with 8 years of vaseline, petroleum jelly

October 13, 2006 by goodsamaritan

My brother’s skin status to date.

His hospitalization due to constipation gave me the opportunity to study his skin and interview him for a couple of hours. These are my findings:

  • he used petroleum jelly every day for 8 years to moisturize his skin and sate his feelings of dryness
  • his skin is thick like bond paper
  • his pores are enlarged because they cannot breath through the dead skin which now looks like microwave clear wrap
  • he only perspires in the areas least coated with petroleum jelly, his upper back, his groin, and underarms
  • he compensates by peeing more often
  • he feels great when taking hot baths and hot saunas to perspire
  • the back of his feet and hands crack, ooze and wound, they are being used for toxin removal
  • without the use of petroleum jelly, he is shedding his old skin, but not fast enough
  • he is using a substitute moisturizer but plant based, papaya

I now have told my brother to drop moisturizers all together. Let his body heal itself. I want him to shed his old skin faster. Have him do loofa scrubbing everyday.

The new goal is to reactivate his battered skin and pores. Once these pores are free from layers of dead skin, they can breath again, hopefully, they can heal and be reactivated for perspiration again. When this happens, I predict he will be fully healed and become handsome again.

I do not know if we will be able to find a skin doctor who does not use drugs to help us with this condition. Maybe we do not need one. Time will tell.

The following explanation regarding petroleum jelly is very important for everyone and most especially mis-informed dermatologists:

Vaseline cannot be absorbed by healthy skin and creates a thin film on the surface of the skin, blocking the pores and preventing the skin from functioning normally. Vaseline does not contain any Vitamins and disturbs or even stops the skin from being able to absorb fat-soluble vitamins.

Vaseline’s is detrimental to the skin with long-term use. Mineral oils appear to moisturise the skin but in reality they suppress its normal, healthy functioning. The skin then becomes ‘dependent’ on constant applications of mineral oil which, in turn, result in a deterioration of the skin’s character and ability to keep itself healthy. It clogs the pores, is hard to remove and is a bit like having cling film wrapped around your body.

Hospital food is unhealthy

October 13, 2006 by goodsamaritan

My brother got confined at Cardinal Santos for 1 day as I explained in my previous blog.

Now I like Cardinal Santos for its emergency room staff for being fast, efficient, knowledgeable.

But once confined, you soon see how bad the food is. In their canteen, and in the food they serve their patients!

I experienced this bad food with my wife for her appendicitis, my mother in law, my daughter with her diarrhea, and now my brother with his constipation.

This morning they served a sandwich for breakfast. It was 1 big pan de sal made from white flour… junk non-food; with fried corned beef… canned, preserved, food colored, no enzymes… and 1 banana… which my brother is supposed to avoid because his problem is constipation!

The hospital did not even serve my brother WATER.  I had to buy water outside hospital premises.

Dr Mercola has an article that gives us hope, “Finally, Some Hospitals Start to Understand the Importance of Nutrition!”

Taking Spirulina and Chlorella, a change in diet, constipation?

October 13, 2006 by goodsamaritan

My brother started taking the Spirulina and Chlorela combination as suggested in www.chlorellafactor.com and experienced extreme constipation.

I call it extreme constipation because he was unable to have a bowel movement for 3 days.

I had to rush him to the hospital because he was having difficulty breathing.  The x-rays show he was constipated with sh*t backed up so much it was pressing on his lungs.  Thus he is unable to breath freely.

This theory turned out correct, they put some suppositories in him and when he dumped a handful of sh*t he suddenly felt much better and could breath normally.

Scary huh?  The lesson is, when you make a change in your diet, you should monitor your bowel movement.  Any 1 day without a bowel movement is a cause for alarm. My anti-constipation protocol is 2 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil.  Plus drink 2 glasses of room temperature water.

My brother tries Chlorella + Spirulina

October 10, 2006 by goodsamaritan

My brother stumbled onto www.chlorellafactor.com made by Mike Adams of Newstarget fame. Wow, my bro now had his own initiative to buy both Chlorella and Spirulina from our local alternative health food store www.healthyoptions.com.ph !

He said he is still ramping up his intake and after just taking the Chlorella and Spirulina combination for 3 days as described in www.chlorellafactor.com he says that he has encouraging developments in his skin psoriasis / eczema / dermatitis.

I told him to take photos and document his progress. Who knows? If he is successful with this, I can make him his own website.

I’m interested. I’ll buy the same set and test it on myself before I test it on my 3 year old boy.

New anti eczema nutrition plan for myself, my son and my brother

October 1, 2006 by goodsamaritan

mish.jpgI am currently formulating a new nutrition plan to combat eczema and improve overall wellness. First some status checks:

1. I am well from my leg eczema, I went through my kidney cleanse, colon hydrotherapy, and still have to do my 10th liver flush with still more stones to go. I’m recovering from jock itch.

2. My brother has done his colon hydrotherapy and only 1 liver flush, has stopped using petroleum jelly and his body skin is healing very, very slowly.

3. My 3 year old son is just recovering from diarrhea through gatorade, zinc supplement, high pottassium banana (latundan) and 3 hour minimum eat and drink intervals. His nail fungi has been cured, but he still scratches both his feet. Chicken has been identified as allergen, even if it is organic.

I’ve done the detox side of the solution, now for some sustained nutrition side pushing.

I was following the forum posts of a helpful woman named “aunty” and read some pretty good tips on nutrition. From her post at http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=7994

Are you aware that eczema indicates nutritional deficiencies in the following areas: beta carotene, zinc, quercetin, essential fatty acids, vitamin C, vitamin D, and vitamin E?

Have you made attempts to address those deficiencies nutritionally (with what you eat)?

Are you aware that the medications prescribed to treat the eczema would actually serve to extend the period of eczema suffering, due to the fact that they don’t address the cause; but rather, suppress the symptoms? In essence, and because they suppress the immune system, they impede with the body’s ability to heal. An eczema manifestation is a toxic release. It is the skin’s attempt to rid the body of the toxins that are overwhelming the bloodstream/skin. When you see an eczema manifestation on the skin, you are witnessing the fight between the immune system and the toxins (dirt, bacteria, germs etc.) or free radicals that are attempting to cause harm. As a result, you want to respond to the needs of your skin with natural/organic products that will feed the immune system and promote the completion of the healing process. In essence, you want to work with the immune system; not against it (as the medications prescribed to treat eczema do).

My nieces, who suffered with severe (total body) eczema flareups in their infancy were completely healed of their eczema without the use of medications. The proper skin care, diet, and removal of their eczema allergen/irritants is what has promoted their longterm eczema freedom (despite their eczema heredity). They were eczema free for six and four years after that initial eczema flareup in their infancy. Understanding the body’s message for help and responding with wisdom (respecting the body’s nutritional needs) is what gives our family the success that we’ve enjoyed for years now. The cure for eczema is restored immune health. When you feed the immune system what it needs to function properly, it will give you the results of healing.

aunty

Outstanding information. Aunty even led us to an informative website www.wholehealthmd.com. Adjust to your own country and available foods. I believe that your native foods will work best for you.

This is my current plan in my mind:

1. Beta Carotine: order fresh carrot juice from my Auntie Portia and have it delivered. Follow the instructions from a previous E-book I bought, “The 14 day eczema cure” by Janet Simpson. Drink 2 glasses of fresh carrot juice every day for 14 days. Same for me, my son and my brother.

2. Flaxseed Oil: There is a bottle of 1000 mg flaxseed oil capsules lying around in the kitchen. Maybe it belongs to my mother in law. Time for me to make use of it. WholehealthMD says this will help stop the formation of new gallstones.

3. Vitamin E: Take 400IU per day. My 3 year old boy can actually swallow 1 capsule per day.
4. Biogenic Foods everyday. This is tough. Mongo sprouts are the easiest to come by here. I wonder if my powdered wheat grass counts? I will be taking this everyday too. More raw. Garlic, hot chili peppers, and celery (4 stalks per day juice, plant viagra!)

5. Combining foods. Meat with vegetables. Grains with vegetables. Never meat with grains. I can do this with my son.

6. Pancreatin with digestive enzymes. I’ll still take this. My left shoulder pain is maybe 99% gone. But there is that elusive 1%. Chew throughly. 50 chews!

7. Sunlight. As much as possible. But the rainy season and successive typhoons has dampened our days for several weeks now.

8. Zinc supplements. My son is on Zinc sulfate to help his diarrhea. I’ll have to go back to eating fresh oysters regularly just like what I did with my fertility enhancement days.

9. Vitamin C. Papaya and pineapple are plentiful here in my country. Eat while freshly opened.

10. Clean meat, less meat. I can’t go on vegetarian yet. It will take some time. I might get into it. But for now… organic beef, no chicken, no pork, organic goat meat, ocean fish. But in markedly less amounts.

11. Water and Green Tea. Lots of it everyday.

Now for the hard part. Following this new plan.
