A review of our 2009 health changes and challenges

January 2, 2010 by Good Samaritan

The past year 2009 was good to me in terms of diet and health. My raw paleo diet that began in 2008 was improved in 2009 with my switch to a high raw fat low carb paleo diet which brought an end to all hypo-glycemia symptoms which all my life I thought was normal. The use of Bieler’s soup enabled me to solidify my gut and allowed me to gain weight. My limiting fruits has been helpful, no longer in the large amounts as in Wai diet, I’ve restricted myself and my family to hydrating fruit and high vitamin fruit.

The challenge with curing my 8 year old boy of tuberculosis / primary complex was a methodical and well executed. We thank the other doctor consultants for their opinions but the ultimate execution lay in my hands. No supplements helped, it was powerful food that saved the day. Henry Bieler was the star, lots of raw muscle beef, raw blood and raw fat, Bieler’s soup with Zucchini, string beans and parsley… plus maybe the beam ray machine helped as well. No supplements or herbals worked in this round. Food is the best and most powerful medicine.

We lost a lot of our herbs and tools when our house was flooded in the big Ondoy flood. My wife responds well to zappers and we lost all 3 zappers in that flood. My wife today has tummy pain which she says will easily be solved with a zapper. We are borrowing a zapper from a friend while we go about buying ourselves a new zapper. Maybe it is a good idea to buy from barefoot herbalist mh a new batch of his herbal dewormer… as an emergency stand by.

We got involved in a debate about curing tooth decay this year. My wai diet and fruitarian trials spilled over to my kids who ate too much fruit. My wife’s own addiction toward sweet fruit though seasonal victimized our 8 year old and our 5 year old which suffered from tooth decay. I had to make stern debates to lessen fruits and increase raw fat intake, even administer raw liver and raw meats to the children.

My wife appreciated the power of EMC and Quantum Minerals Plus drops with the almost instantaneous elimination of her gout pain in her knees and feet. Plus she learned the power of raw fat with raw duck eggs.

2009 was good for us in terms of health. We learned a lot. We are healthier after 2009. Hopefully 2010 is an even better year.

3 day Orange Juice Fast is Too Easy

December 28, 2009 by Good Samaritan

I’m on my 3rd day of orange juice fasting and it is too easy. My 8 year old boy called for this fast but stopped after 1 day. My mindset was on 3 days so I continued on. This is too easy. I would like to gun for a 21 day orange juice fast in January or February.

On my 2nd day of orange juice fasting yesterday morning I decided to buy a fresh raw coconut. Malakanin consistency aka with some thick but scoopable raw coconut meat / fat because I want to use this raw fat to make my bowels move instead of those dreaded chemical epsom salts. As a principle in orange juice fasting, you want to move your bowels daily. So the coconut meat / fat did the trick, I moved. And this 3rd day in the morning I moved again so no need to eat more coconut meat. And yesterday on the 2nd day I did some pool swimming with my kids.

This 3rd day at lunch I have a meeting with a customer who flew in from out of the country. The staff is eating, I’m just there for the meeting, I made it clear with the customer that I’m on a 3 day fast and this is my last day.

What can I say about this fast? It’s too easy. I think my adaptation to a high fat low carb raw diet has allowed me to have steady blood sugar levels. I don’t get hungry, I don’t get hypoglycemia symptoms. I’m now confident I can attempt a 21 day orange juice fast. I don’t like enemas so I will be using coconut meat fat as a bowel moving aid as I see fit.

I’ll fatten up some more and then attempt a 21 day orange juice fast. Maybe when I hit 135 pounds I’ll do the next long fast.

Merry Christmas 2009 almost Paleo Diet Pot Luck Dinner

December 25, 2009 by Good Samaritan

This Christmas 2009 almost ended up as a paleo diet dinner except for those pot luck contributors from outside the household.

This holiday was brought to us by the celebration of Christmas.

So my wife’s family had a pot luck dinner (traditional noche buena) and we had to contribute something, we contributed raw fish sashimi totalling 3 kilos:

1 kilo of raw salmon (farmed)

1 kilo of raw tuna – grade A ocean wild

1 kilo of raw blue marlin – ocean wild

Plus for the Japanese effect had grated radish, wasabe and kikkoman soy sauce from Japan. And I contributed chopsticks.

My mother in law roasted fatty prime rib (cooked paleo) — I’m pulling her in little by little, she now recommends the fat because her chiropractor said fat was essential.

The non-paleo food item was the pasta contributed by my sister in law.

At noche buena by 11pm my mother in law brought out a gifted Majestic ham from a very prominent national politician.

Ripe sweet Chesa fruit: Anybody know their nutritional value?

December 25, 2009 by Good Samaritan

Chesa is a wild crafted fruit. There is no industry or plantation for commercial cultivation. Sometimes in the fruit market you may see a few of them. A new batch we chanced upon came from my in laws’ ancestral home in Los Banos Laguna. A chesa tree full of creamy ripe fruit.

I find this chesa pretty good. The best I’ve eaten. But my father in law says he has tasted the best in Ilocos in his far home province. None of us know what this ice cream tasting fruit is good for. Nutritional value?

My mother in law thinks its good for the eyes due to its squash like color. Anybody know? Please post a reply. Thanks.

How to eat Gigantic Raw Oysters

December 24, 2009 by Good Samaritan

My 8 year old boy demonstrates how to eat gigantic raw oysters from Iloilo. We first remove the oysters from the plastic bag. Do not wash the oysters. Get a dipping bowl with organic vinegar like Lola Conching’s vinegar. Dip a couple of oysters in just to be safe to disinfect them from possible bad organisms. Then use your chopsticks to pop oysters one by one in your mouth. What fun!

Raw Paleo Diet and Lifestyle is about curing all diseases and achieving the best health possible

December 23, 2009 by Good Samaritan

The theory behind Raw Paleolithic Diet is that the optimum human diet is that which humans evolved in, which is a vast amount of time prior to agriculture, prior to commercially processed food… the human diet in paleolithic times which is mostly meat / animal food, fruit and vegetables. Pre-pending with the word RAW means going even further back to paleolithic times BEFORE cooking.

We are not trying to imitate the lives of cavemen, we are cherry picking what evolutionarily makes sense and optimally applicable that will bring about the best health possible. We are health nuts to the max. I think of raw paleo diet as raw paleo curative diet. Raw paleo lifestyle is the cleanest possible lifestyle devoid of chemicals with an environment that his health giving… fresh clean air, pure clean water, stress free living.

Raw is what separates us in the raw paleo diet camp from most of the (cooked) paleo diet camp. While the (cooked) paleo diet camp claims that all meat should be fully cooked for sanitation and against parasites, we in the raw paleo diet believe that herbivorous meat like grass fed beef, lamb and goat — are optimally eaten raw. That sea food is optimally eaten raw. We are looking for nutrition to the maximum from sources such as raw blood, raw oysters, raw liver, raw bone marrow, raw muscle and raw fat etc.

Raw paleo diet is not backed up by any well funded studies. Raw paleo diet and its variants is backed up by testimonials of healers and cured people. I view raw paleo diet as representing the broadest and the best of the raw food movement.

Raw paleo diet is curative. I would not be practicing raw paleo diet if it were any less. As the family healer, raw paleo diet and lifestyle forms the foundation of curing all diseases. Raw animal meat and raw animal fat are a different class of food from its cooked cousins. Raw fat with raw protein has “magical” properties where it is easily digestible, alkalizing, lubricating and hydrating… everything good and nothing bad.

Raw paleo diet and lifestyle can lay claim as the foundation for curing the incurable diseases such as all diseases of toxemia and tooth decay where a cooked meat paleo diet is simply ineffective.

I’ll have to go in depth and improve on this article where the final version will be posted in my cure manual. I will ask the raw paleo forum community to chime in on this.

How I’m surviving the Christmas binge eating madness

December 20, 2009 by Good Samaritan

Christmas time is a hard time for most of us when it comes to sticking to our diets. Most of the people bringing the pot luck food are on the regular standard urban diet and standard high carb food pyramid. Well I get away by being forthright among friends and family that I’m on raw paleo diet and the most I will compromise myself with is a bit of cooked meat which still falls under cooked paleo diet.

I was fortunate in the Friday night party, these people had a penchant for meat, they served no rice, they served a combination of raw sea food Japanese sashimi style and cooked fatty meats… yeah, paleo diet men!

In the Saturday party I brought my own food, a large chunk of raw fatty beef brisket. No shame in eating in front of my wife’s relatives. Yes they know what I’ve been through. They see I look healthy and look good with my new long hair. In fact, a 15 year old girl was curious and had a taste of raw beef herself.

To sum things up, my strategy for surviving the christmas binges is to eat my raw food before parties and at parties either have raw fruit or raw fish or at worst cooked meat… which is still paleo diet, albeit cooked.
