Laiya Batangas: Fishing Dorado with the Balacbacan Fishermen

March 13, 2011 by Good Samaritan

Friday afternoon I was driving south towards Candelaria Quezon where I was scheduled to stay overnight with the great hands on healer Vander Gaditano. I get messages on my cell phone regarding the tragedy of the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power plant problems of Japan. It’s not stopping me from my drive. Candelaria is far enough from the beach of Laiya, Batangas and besides, the location of Laiya waters is it is shielded by the entire massive Luzon island any tsunami from Japan will never reach this place.

I called my contact Edith and reserved a fishing boat. Cost is 2,000 pesos and 250 pesos per fishing rod, then I had to buy bait worth 350 pesos. Expensive because the squid we got were special sweet squid. Tasted the squid raw and it was sweet. My boatmen / fishermen were 47 year old Dionisio and his 23 year old son Melvin.

The technique in fishing dorado is to use squid or fish as bait. Around 6 inches long each. Then you cast the fishing line and the boat goes around in circles on each marked buoy. We go around several marked buoys and eventually wind up with 5 dorados and 1 batalay fish.

About 1 hour into the boat ride I got sea sick, open blue water just endlessly goes up and down. I had to slump in the boat and wait for more than 30 minutes to regain my sea legs. I did recover and went on to enjoy the morning. We left at 6am and came back 12 noon. Their expectation was after lunch go back in the water. No, half a day is alright with me.

We cooked 2 dorado’s over charcoal. Of course I had mine rare. Totally raw is not recommended with dorado as the flesh sticks real hard on the bones. Just heating it enough makes the flesh fall off the bone.

The big one that got away

The last and supposedly 7th fish was the one that bit my fishing line. I first tried reeling it in but found that the reel would not budge. Young Melvin saw my puzzled fishing amateur newbie “I don’t know what to do when this happens” and he immediately took over my rod, oh there was an adjustment switch you flip on the rod. He had a big smile on his face. This was a challenge from the regular 6 fish we already caught. This was a big one. Melvin tired and his father Dionisio took over. He too had a big smile on his face. This fish was going to big. Unlike the other fish that jumped out of the water, this one just stayed sunk. Melvin was steering the boat towards the big 4 kilo dorado and was ready to hook it. Then the fish swam out again suddenly, but this time it got away! The fishing line had snapped. Oh shucks! So close. If we had hauled that big boy in, that would have made my day.

From then on I promised to buy a 4 kilo dorado in the wet market soon just so I can taste what a 4 kilo dorado tastes like. Dorado is good when cooked in soup sinigang style. The skin softens and you can eat it fatty. If you heat it on charcoal, the skin is burned and the fat dissipates.

To fill my ice chest I bought some squid and some other fish and went home Saturday. For you foreigners, I do not practice catch and release fishing. I fish to eat.

The next time I said to Edith and Dionisio, I want to go net fishing with the fishermen. Commission a boat, same time 6am to 12noon but instead of fishing rods, we go net fishing and get several kilos of fish. I will just load up enough fish in my ice chest that fits in my car and they can sell the rest of their fish haul in the market. Initially, Melvin thought I was nuts, who would want to pay to fish with fishermen using nets? I explained that city slickers like me just want to experience what they experience and we will gladly pay for it.

Vander Gaditano says Lots of Castor Oil and Nga nga are Parasite Fighters

March 11, 2011 by Good Samaritan

I’m staying overnight at Vander Gaditano this evening. In our dinner conversation he shares his parasite fighting experiences. He has advised people of taking herbals, foods and zappers for parasite cases.

He shared his case with lung cancer patient who was so poor he had little resources. Vander suggested chewing and swallowing a lot of nga nga. Ha, got the wormies out and lung cancer was gone.

Vander also says castor oil. Lots of castor oil. Dosage dependent castor oil for it to be effective. Some 90ml should do the trick. Vander says the viscosity of castor oil is to the point that it will flood the stomach and get rid of the wormies and decimate their population.

He thinks there will always be parasites, some people are susceptible, some are not. You can minimize their numbers from time to time.

Earthing, Grounding Your Body May Eliminate Pain and Electrical Disturbances

March 10, 2011 by Good Samaritan

The charismatic David Wolfe introduces earthing. Grounding. A 5 part video. Electrically grounding, being connect to the earth is a very very big deal. Your ailment may just be caused by faulty electrical flow in your body.

Check out the rest of the videos in youtube.

To show the practical application of this concept in an electrical multi-meter, you can actually measure this grounding. How to get grounded cheaply. For all you electrical geeks out there. Try this!

Better living through electromagnetism: electrical grounding technology.

So what are you waiting for? Just walk barefoot on the ground. Stand beside a tree, touch the tree, touch the plant.

Sleep on the floor of a house in the first floor, a floor that is grounded.

Super easy.

Women’s Day Nothing. Record Infertilities. Celebrating The Poisoning of Women Through Birth Control.

March 9, 2011 by Good Samaritan

Ho hum, i heard it is women’s day, was it today or yesterday? Heard over in Congress they were discussing the forced poisoning of even more women through contraceptive drugs via pills, patches, injectables, IUDs via public funding and forcing the entire nation to be accomplices in the even more mass drugging of women nationwide. And this dear friends is how the foreign powers that be make us celebrate their imperialist women’s day. Remember, it is US vs THEM. They wish to drug our women. They wish to poison our women. They wish to neuter our women. They will brainwash you and your ilk to harm, injure, maim, kill your own women in the name of “choice”, in the name of “contraceptive rights”… in the DOUBLESPEAK language (UN)Reproductive Health. Parasite Cleanses: Afraid of Raw Animal Foods, Afraid of Raw Paleo Diet Because of Fear of Parasites

March 9, 2011 by Good Samaritan

People new to the concept of raw animal foods as a staple in their diets such as in a raw paleo diet are paranoid about parasites. I say the only raw meat staple I avoid are pigs / pork because they are known to have dangerous parasites. While beef tapeworms are mostly benign. And the benefits like cure all diseases in raw paleo diet are by far way up there than the perceived threat of parasites. The discussion goes like this:

i believe raw eggs are safe from parasites – correct ? the same would be true for something like milk ( i don’t drink milk ) right ?

is there anything else ? maybe some sort of oysters or shrimp or some nonsense like that ?

My answer below:

Lots of sea food should have no dangerous to human parasites.
It is fresh water food that has more parasites that stick to humans.

Weston price followers say you freeze your meat for 14 days and parasites are all dead.

But parasites are everywhere, when you breath, shake someones hand, eat salad, eat fruit, eat meat… and you can try cooking them all to death, which may include your death as well. See hulda clark’s early demise, she degenerated fast because of her paranoia.

Parasites are easy to get rid of. Through foods, through herbs, through electricity, through drugs.

Keep parasites in check by not polluting yourself with chemicals so they stay where they should stay.

Being undernourished or polluted nourished is more of a threat.

All humans host parasites because we are the top predator of this world.

I live in the tropics and we grow up knowing parasites are normal and we can get rid of them easily.

I detected / saw in my poop liver fluke tomato peels parasites in 2005 to 2006, and I was on the regular Filipino SAD cooked diet. And I was sick being consumed of eczema then.

I went raw paleo diet Jan 2008.

I detected / saw tapeworms in my poop Jan 2011. My gut feels solid, I feel great. But I now proceeded to get rid of them because I want to control their numbers.

I’m at the top of my health game today. Do the worms scare me? Nyet.

Am I going to give up a raw paleo diet because I saw tapeworms? Not on anybody’s vegan anti-meat fantasy!

My health is still going up up and away I’m enjoying myself… all because of a raw paleo diet.

Paleo Diet: Understanding the Need to go on Raw Paleo Diet

March 7, 2011 by Good Samaritan

So cooked meat and cooked vegetable Paleo Diet is in the news these days. They eat cooked meat, cooked vegetables and raw fruits. But there is also the option to eat raw meat, raw vegetables and raw fruits. It’s called raw paleo diet. A beautiful and healthy paleo dieter in cavemanforum.com asked: “I don’t really understand the need for raw paleo.”

The need for raw paleo diet depends on how sick a person is.

The people who go on raw paleo diet usually come from some really grave illness that only the power of raw paleo diet will deliver. Think of the biggest, baddest “incurable” diseases medical doctors cannot cure. Deathly cancer, deathly psoriasis, deathly diabetes, etc.

I went on 100% raw because I wanted to stop liver flushing as I was a liver stone former. Going 100% raw vegan and 100% raw fruitarian and 14 days of orange juice fasting stopped liver stone formation but made me malnourished. Adding raw fish and raw eggs made me bounce up to normal weight and adding raw beef, raw beef fat, raw bone marrow made me stronger.

The eczema that consumed me was put under remission, but my health progress had plateaued in 2006 to 2007. On raw paleo diet now for 3 years and my health gains are still sky rocketing up and up and up. I would be a fool to stop my raw paleo dieting. There was 1 month I tried all cooked meat paleo diet and felt so horrible I had to go back on raw paleo diet.

Raw animal FAT is the number one missing ingredient in cooked or rare paleo diets. Raw animal fat is probably the most important super duper food that everyone needs to get well from the most incurable of all diseases. I repeat again: Raw Animal FAT is the number 1 super food that will nourish, hydrate, lubricate, cleanse your body. You can begin with raw eggs and raw fatty ocean fish sashimi.

We just had dinner and my wife and I put our foot down on the children to go on cooked / semi cooked / rare paleo diet to clear up their eczematic skins. We are killing rice with them. I made them the compromise that I’m not pushing raw paleo diet this time, so they should be happy with their cooked meats. (they already know the power of raw paleo diet when they were gravely ill at times – too much mucus (3 days), painful tooth decay (3 days), eczema eating up hand ( 1 week) , tuberculosis (2 months, raw beef and raw blood) )

Most people will only need cooked / semi cooked / rare / in between paleo diet just to lose weight and they should be fine.

Vegetable Garden Urban Homestead 6000 Pounds of Produce a Year

March 6, 2011 by Good Samaritan

Awesome family harvests 6000 lbs of produce in 1/10 of an acre of land in the big city of Pasadena, California. If they can do this, you and I can. Be self sufficient on vegetables in small farm animals like chickens, ducks and goats for meat. Freedom. Food freedom. We have a couple of provincial maids. This should be easy for them.

Homegrown Revolution (2008) is a film short that gives a brief introduction to the Dervaes Family’s urban homestead which they call “Path to Freedom.” On this tiny city lot, a beautiful and productive oasis was created, producing 6,000 lbs of food annually and is a model of urban sustainability.

Film premiers at the WILD & SCENIC FILM FESTIVAL (Jan 9-11, 2009)

——About Path to Freedom——

Since the mid 1980s, members of the Dervaes family have steadily worked at transforming their ordinary city lot in Pasadena into a thriving organic micro farm that supplies them with food all year round. These eco-pioneers also run a successful home business providing their surplus produce to local restaurants. Through their adventures in growing and preserving their own food, installing a solar power system, home-brewing biodiesel for fuel, raising backyard farm animals, and learning back-to-basics skills, these modern-day pioneers have revived the old-fashioned spirit of self-reliance and resourcefulness.

Since 2001, their website has inspired hundreds of thousands to take steps towards a sustainable future and has generated a 21st century urban homestead movement.
