17 yr old German rampaging shooter was on anti-depressants?

March 17, 2009 by Good Samaritan

In the Scottish newspaper they expose: “…It emerged that Kretschmer had been suffering from depression, even attending a clinic and receiving medication for the condition.” And that the boy was a shooting video game addict, an avid airsoft and live ammo fan.  Maybe it was the anti-depressant medication that finally tipped him over the edge? See The Scotsman article paragraph 8.

I’m no fan of video games.  I used to play some when I was young and now I see it as a complete waste of time.   I played some airsoft, pretty good the first few times, then you realize they aren’t real bullets so what the heck.  I’ve shot some live ammo, good stuff for killing things better to be armed and dangerous than to be a hapless victim.

The connection between the inexplicable, insane shootings and anti-depressant drug use is getting noisier each time an incident like this happens.  It is time these anti-depression drug treatments are stopped and people be taught about proper raw nutrition, zero television, zero video games and real human interaction in the flesh.

I say, feed them kids fatty fresh raw meat and watch them be happy and content.

Poldo Baral swears it was commercial shampoo that made his hair fall off

March 17, 2009 by Good Samaritan

I had just finished dinner and our cook’s husband was having dinner in our kitchen, then I noticed his head and it was less shiny than before.  I greeted him that his hair was thicker this time around.  He was glad I mentioned it, I asked what he was using, he said he was using a product from the USA given by a friend… he swabs it on daily.

Poldo Baral lost his hair because of shampoo

Poldo Baral lost a lot of hair due to shampoo use

We went to talk about shampoo, so I asked what shampoo he used.  He said no, he doesn’t use any shampoo.  In fact it was shampoo that made his hair fall off.  He showed me a picture in his wallet what he looked like 30 years ago, a full head of hair like a coconut husk… that thick.

He used to drive for my in-laws and during his driving days he just slapped on any shampoo his boss provided the help… you know, the same shampoos on the television commercials.  Poldo says don’t believe those television commercials, they lie, they made him lose a lot of his hair, which brand, all of them.

I asked him if he would be willing to testify on video about his shampoo misfortune.  He said “you betcha.”   So in the video below, in the Tagalog language, you can hear Leopoldo Baral share his experience that shampoo made him lose a lot of his hair and today he uses absolutely ZERO SHAMPOO… and with a little help is growing some of it back.

Is your hair falling off?  Afraid to go bald?  Turn off you TV and do not believe a word those shampoo commercials say.  Do not shampoo your hair.  Read the chemical list on the ingredients of your shampoo.  You must be insane to put that stuff on your head, your body every single day.  Learn from Poldo.

I experiment with Aajonus Vonderplanitz’ Mayonnaise Recipe

March 17, 2009 by Good Samaritan

Last Sunday I thought about trying out Aajonus Vonderplanitz’ mayonnaise recipe in his book The Recipe for Living Without Disease.  It was very simple and we had all the ingredients available: 4 tablespoons raw butter, 1 raw fertilized egg, 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed raw lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon raw fermented apple cider vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon raw honey,  4 tablespoons raw extra virgin olive oil… all in a blender.  We have never found sources of raw butter so New Zealand yellow pasteurized unsalted Anchor Butter will have to do.

At first it tasted bitter… too much extra virgin olive oil, or our evoo is the bitter type… reminds me too much of liver flushing… I added another egg.  Oh yes, our eggs are duck eggs.  So I modified the formula and used 2 fertilized duck eggs instead of the expected 1 chicken egg.  These duck eggs were flown all the way from Aborlan, Palawan. The mayonnaise tasted better, but it was flowing.  And the comments were to use just half the evoo next time, and maybe just use the egg yolks.

Shucks I was too late, the kids already ate their cooked fish with some of the commercial brand mayonnaise on the table with the extended family.  I read out loud the ingredients of the commercial mayonnaise to the family so they can realize just how poor this commercial mayo product was: soybean oil (gmo toxic waste), water, eggs (factory battery), sugar (poison), vinegar (factory, not fermented), iodized salt (factory), propylene glycol alginate (holy crap – what chemical is this?), spices (ooohhh hidden crap), potassium sorbate (preservative – is that edible by itself?), articial flavor (didn’t say what it was), beta carotene (for color), calcium sodium edta (added to protect flavor)

I put my Aajonus inspired mayonnaise in the refrigerator and it thickened in the morning.  I experimented with the mayonnaise on some salted duck eggs… tasted great, I gave some to my 4 year old girl and she asked for more… so I know it tasted good.  Now that is good fat, fat, fat, and more fat.  Extra virgin olive oil + duck egg yolks + yellow pasture fed butter is truly fat.  Oh my, I felt tons sleepy after breakfast… I think I must have flushed my liver accidentally with this much fat.

So I learned from this little mayonnaise experiment is that mayonnaise was meant to add great flavorful fat to food that was not fat enough.  The idiotic evolution with manufactured food is that they turn it around and advertise that mayonnaise makes food taste good only.  Then the manufactured food producers caved in to the the anti-fat hysteria and anti-cholesterol hysteria and wind up substituting the most harmful and cheapest ingredients they can find so they can turn a great profit.  The best revenge we get against these crappy food manufacturers is that their employees, their bosses and their shareholders are probably just as clueless about health these people eat their own crappy products… you get what you deserve you greedy people.

Our organic home grown ducks are scheduled for slaughter

March 17, 2009 by Good Samaritan

From the last batch of white ducks were left 1 mommy duck and 3 ducklings.  Those 3 ducklings grew up and are now full grown ducks.  These are the “bibe” variety.  These are organically raised ducks.  I think they are around 6 months old, you can check this blog for previous posts about them.  We never bought any animal feed.  These ducks ate the left over peelings of our organic fruit, some left over rice, some left over coconut meat, the grass on the garden, some herbs, papaya leaves and some insects and grubs they find interesting.

Why are we slaughtering them?  We got fed up with their pooping on the cemented walks!  So the ducklings finally grew their wing feathers this month, then all four ducks lately have been hanging around the cemented walks and pooping all over!  Irritating.  When they pooped in the grass, we don’t mind, but intentionally pooping on the walks is grrr….

My wife initially the soft hearted got some chicken plastic wire and caged them in a small spot.  The same day, the ducks went on a hunger strike.  They were given food, but they ignored it and just sat!

I told my wife that those ducks, those investments will be of no good to us if you cage them and make them sick.  They need their freedom to forage and do what they want.

So my wife the softy extended the chicken wire to fence off 1/4 of the garden, but the chicken wire was short.  And the ducks went on a hunger strike again… same day.  Finally the ducks found a loop hole to freedom.

My wife was convinced it was time.  Time to convince the kids it was time.  They said boo… thumbs down… boo… then my wife said, you clean their poops… they still said boo… so when my wife left the dinner table I told the kids the Bible stories they keep hearing from their mom.  That those shepherd characters who kept every lamb in check was looking after their own meals… they ate their own lambs… and they were sure the lambs were well fed.  Just like our ducks.  We cared for them, we made sure they were organic and now it was time to eat them.

My eldest boy was convinced.  The next 2 were convinced.  My eldest boy got a pen and in his rudimentary hand writing wrote the order of slaughter:

1. Gracia – the mommy duck
2. Uppy – the big male duck
3. Ugly boy – the small male duck
4. In-tsik – the small female duck they say looks Chinese (Intsik)

So we have duck scheduled on several dinners when the slaughterers are available.  Our driver on weekdays,  and on weekends ate Arlene can do the honors.  The plan is to slaughter the scheduled duck in the afternoon and serve that same duck fresh for dinner.

Will let you know what they taste like.  I’ll have my parts raw please.

Mosquito traps, mosquito zappers and mosquito nets are our non-toxic methods in the fight against the blood suckers

March 15, 2009 by Good Samaritan

Mosquitos are a terrible nuisance.  They bite us, cause us to itch, suck our blood and spread disease.  Parasites are real, for those who think parasites are not a problem.  I live in a tropical country so I’m telling you they are real.  There are many ways to combat mosquitoes, and just like any TV zombie, we used to use those products advertised on television, toxic chemicals that poisoned the mosquitoes as well as the human beings.

When we developed our organic thinking, and read about the experiences of others and the dangers of insecticides poisoning us, especially our children, we had to change our ways.  This is what we are doing now and so far have found it effective:

We sleep with mosquito nets on top of our beds.  Gives us a good night’s sleep without being bothered by the blood suckers.

We have turned on electrical zappers indoors and outdoors.  Every now and then the bugs are zapped.

We recently bought a mosquito trap that sucks in mosquitos.  There is a light that attracts the mosquitoes, they come near, they are sucked in the chamber and die a dehydrating death.

I think altogether they work pretty well, especially when I kept the mosquito trap on 24 hours a day.  You do spend a little on electricity, but at least we aren’t poisoning ourselves and our kids.

How much raw food should you eat?

March 15, 2009 by Good Samaritan

This was asked in the caveman forums. “How much raw food should you eat? Do we have any information on how much food the hunter and gatherers ate was raw?”

Personally, I’m only interested in solid, experiential evidence. I would consider the evidence of Weston Price’s research with healthy groups of people. I would consider the evidence of my own experience. This is how I answered this question:

I eat as much raw food as I can. I used to be really sick in 2005. ( See http://www.eczemacure.info to see what I looked like. ) So after being symptom free on 2006 I went and tried out many diets I stumbled upon. My stumbling led me to:

organic vegetarian

organic raw vegan – unsustainable

organic raw fruitarian – unsustainable

organic / wild wai diet (raw fruitarian + extra virgin olive oil + egg yolks + various ocean raw fish) – got boring… I wanted land animals later on

organic / wild raw primal diet (aajonus vonderplanitz – raw fruit, raw vegs, raw dairy, raw ocean fish, raw land animals) – raw dairy didn’t agree with me… only butter agreed with me.

organic / wild raw paleolithic diet (raw fruit, few raw vegs, few raw nuts, raw ocean fish, raw land animals + organs) – so far the best for me

cooked meat paleolithic diet (raw fruits, raw vegs + cooked meats) – I tried for 2 months to compare it to raw meats and I did not feel as good so I went back to raw paleolithic diet.

So I settled on raw paleolithic diet and shifted to HIGH FAT – LOW CARB… awesome, much better than high carb. The initial problem is sourcing of food stuffs.

I still eat some cooked meat at socials, but I try to avoid it, when I do heat meat from my refrigerator, I see to it that I heat it only or at the most RARE. Lately I see the toaster oven is the cleanest method of heating.

I make pretty darn sure I get organic / wild / ocean meats and avoid condiments. My only condiments are raw calamansi / raw lemon / real fermented vinegar – I don’t use salt.

This is me and it works for me because I have a lot of unhealth to reverse. As for my kids I feed them as much raw meat as I can. rare beef, raw beef, raw squid, raw fish, raw eggs, etc… but they still default to eating rice with cooked meat… which I’m working on to eliminate rice. Kids have realized rice tastes bad with raw meats… which is a big incentive to go with raw meat.

What nutrition can we get out of Ants’ Eggs?

March 15, 2009 by Good Samaritan

I was reading the Sunday paper this morning. They were featuring exotic Philippine food in the provinces and they showed pictures of ANTS EGGS!!!

So I asked my father in law if he ever ate ANTS EGGS and he said, yes he did eat them occasionally in his youth when he lived in the province of Ilocos. He said that ANTS EGGS are commonly sold in his home provincial markets.

Then I showed the ANTS EGGS picture to my sister in law. She’s a cultural mapping person and she said she saw ANTS EGGS served in the province of PAMPANGA.

My mother in law arrived and I asked her about ANTS EGGS and her face lit up and she said ANTS EGGS were absolutely DELICIOUS and that when you bit them they popped nice popping sounds in your teeth as you ate them. She comes from the province of LAGUNA.

I’m such a city born dork, I’m missing out. Ants eggs are now on my list of food to eat when I drive to the provinces. Better if I just get an ants eggs supplier and have them ship it to Manila.

My question to the knowledgeable and experienced ants eggs eaters there is, what do you get out of eating ants’ eggs? Is it nutritious? Does it fill you up? Is it medicinal?
