Fuzzy Blood Pressure Monitor for the Home

January 25, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Some complaints of sleeplessness and tiredness at home.  Not me.  But they need monitoring for blood pressure.  You never know.  So I decided to buy a blood pressure monitor.  Turns out the old mercury blood pressure readers are not available anymore, banned they say… for mercury… duh, they put all the mercury in the energy saver light bulbs nowadays.

So I had no choice but to choose from electronic automatic blood pressure monitors.  I chose the “fuzzy” one.  fuzzy automatic blood pressure monitor.  Model MD-650 by Meditec.  Made in Korea.  It’s CE 0197.  It’s one touch, too easy.  “Fuzzy” seems to mean it guesses what your blood pressure is at so it adjusts the maximum pressure it delivers before starting to go down.

I used to take the blood pressures of my grandparents with the manual mercury device, this electronic stuff sure is easy.  And it seems pretty accurate.  It shows what I’ve had all the time.  Normal. 110+ over 70+ and as I guessed, my in laws’ driver has high blood pressure.  Man, that guy better watch it.

This thing is neat.  Blood pressure and pulse beats per minute in one take.

It seems such a simple, standard appliance nowadays.  No reason you shouldn’t have one at home yourself.  Buy one soon.

Tomatoes and Formalin? Exploring Kamatis Tagalog (an alleged Philippine variety)

January 25, 2012 by Good Samaritan

I know I’ve been claiming that tomatoes are not paleolithic things. And that tomatoes are nightshades and may cause inflammation. That some people are allergic to tomatoes, that I did my tomato experiments, and the last experiment I did with tomatoes, salt and pepper was killing me after 7 days. Now comes a new theory. Maybe I was being poisoned by formalin preservatives in tomatoes?

Lately in the markets I’ve been coming across a different kind of tomato, they call it “kamatis tagalog” or a native Philippine tomato. The old timers say Imelda Marcos in the 1970s promoted this variety of tomatoes. The seller’s marketing line for these tomatoes is that these native Philippine tomatoes are organic. That they are not soaked or stored in formalin.

Kamatis Tagalog ("Native" Philippine Tomato?)

Exposing the soaking of regular tomatoes in formalin. So maybe that’s just it huh? Unless you trust your farmer, the regular tomato in the markets is soaked and stored in formalin. A preservative, a poison. Not meant for human consumption.

So back to last year’s tomato experiments on myself, was it the formalin in the tomatoes that were killing me? Maybe it is time to do new tomato experiments!

Tomatoes are very useful healing foods as Aajonus Vonderplanitz suggests. That is if you aren’t allergic to them, and if they aren’t soaked in formalin, and maybe they should be organic, and it may also depend on the variety.

Health Benefits of Coconut Oil: A Great Source of FAT – Dengue Fever Update

January 24, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Our younger maid who has become sickly lately and lately recovering from dengue fever was suffering from fat deficiency and bad fat poisoning. Here is why:

I first noticed my maid was a fat phobic person. She would meticulously remove all the animal fat, whatever animal she was eating. Remove all the pork fat, remove all the fish fat, remove all duck or chicken skin, cook egg yolks to death.

The only fat she seemed to be able to consume was cooking oil, whatever her food was fried with. For some reason, they have this suspicious looking “culinary oil” which was allegedly coconut oil… but suspiciously cheap. It was not your usual langis. It was too yellowish. Probably hydrogenated, hell, even recycled. And that is what she eats only in terms of fat.

This maid, she came down with dengue fever and has been sick for a week. She’s the only one who came down with dengue fever. And I attribute this to fat poisoning. I thought that if she can’t eat any fat at all and gags on them… I tried giving her fermented cod liver oil… then may as well massage virgin coconut oil on her skin, maybe her skin can absorb enough into her blood stream.

Then I probingly asked her if she could eat the virgin coconut oil. And she said yes. She found the taste appealing. Only for me to find out later that indeed it was coconut oil she was usually consuming. Let me explain further.

Our maid had a stash of a tiny plastic flask that contained langis, cooked coconut oil with a few herbs and special prayers from her home town in her province. She would eat coconut oil “langis” some 5 times a week. And THAT was her main source of healthy fat. But she ran out of her langis a few weeks ago. And that led her to keep getting sick.

So I was happy to give her more virgin coconut oil. And I asked if she could call her home town and ask them to send her more of her coconut oil “langis”. Indeed she had requested. And a new bottle was waiting for her in Intramuros. I gave her uncle some money to pick up the special coconut oil from Intramuros.

So how has the diluted orange juice been doing for her? Pretty good. She’s recovering from dengue fever. Steadily gaining strength. And she now has her source of coconut oil: the virgin coconut oil and her coconut oil “langis.”

What are the health benefits of coconut oil? Well, if you are fat phobic and do not get any animal fat, coconut oil is the best you got as a substitute. Raw grass fed animal fats would be best, but coconut oil will have to do if you haven’t joined the raw paleo diet movement yet.

Appendicitis, Appendectomy: Avoid Surgery with Herbal Colon Cleanser Senna Tea – Testimonial

January 23, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Getting involved in the raw paleo diet forum has its benefits.  Saving the world from illness, 1 person at a time.  This time it was barely a year member Zaidi had intense stomach pains.  Suspected appendicitis, appendectomy recommended by the ever blame less conventional emergency medical care system.  But Zaidi wanted something better, a better outcome than appendicitis, appendectomy.  How about no appendectomy? No surgery! It certainly is possible, ask the guys at the raw paleo diet forum.

In http://www.rawpaleodietforum.com/general-discussion/urgent-what-to-do-in-appendicitis/ Zaidi asked:

I am feeling pain in right side stomach and also have slight fever at moment.

My house doctor has just told me to go to the hospital as he doubts it is Appendicitis.

Please advise what to do. I don’t want to undergo any operation

Members were quick to jump in with what they know.

One said, go to the hospital, “It ruptures, you die. Simple as that. I would go to the hospital.”

Others admittedly maverick:

Zaidi – did you mean to say that your doctor told you to go to the hospital because he thinks it’s appendicitis instead of he doubts that it’s appendicitis? I don’t know why your doctor wants you to go to the hospital if he doubts it’s appendicitis. Then he would more likely tell you to come to the office for an examination. Maybe he’s being very cautious?

If your doctor thinks it is appendicitis then you could have have a serious condition – your appendix can rupture and that would be really bad. I understand fully that you don’t want surgery – but unless someone knows for certain here how to reverse such a thing quickly – you don’t have much of a choice.

Here’s the only thing that I think I would try – but this is me – and it’s really stupid. The smart thing to do is to go to the hospital asap. I’m a nut – remember that. I wouldn’t go to a hospital if the other choice was death – so I’m very extreme.

Appendicitis is an infection of a small part of the colon that no longer has any use. Sometimes it is caused by something getting stuck and sometimes – just an infection starts. The appendicitis gets filled up with pus from the dying white blood cells. Sometimes doctors will try a course of antibiotics or they can do what is called keyhole surgery leaving the tiniest of scars and which is not very invasive. These are very good options. They are not nearly as bad as having a ruptured appendix. They are smart. Dumb me – what I would do is take my mixture of dmso with colloidal silver and I would rub it right on the place that is in pain. The dmso would take the colloidal silver directly into the blood stream right where the infection is. But I have dmso, have already researched it for myself, experimented with it at length and believe it to be harmless. I know it reduces swelling fast. I don’t believe all the warnings you will find because I have researched it from all sides. You have no reason to believe me vs. anyone else. I also have used colloidal silver for decades to heal myself and others of many things. I trust it. I know how to make sure it is good quality.

You can’t take anything internally that won’t have to fight all your other gut bacteria before getting to that infected appendix. Who knows if that might not do you more harm anyway than having surgery?

If you have appendicitis you are in an emergency situation. It’s hard to learn what you need to learn in an emergency. You also have to acquire what you may decide to try once you learn what you think might help you better than surgery.

But……. if your doctor indeed DOUBTS that it is appendicitis – then you have time to research and experiment. It can then be many different things giving you that pain. You can let the doctors give you a diagnosis and decide how to treat it for yourself after you know more about what it is.

I have very limited knowledge and experience with appendicitis. Maybe someone else here does. But don’t wait too long ok? You REALLY don’t want that thing rupturing.

I just gave my personal experience with myself and healing others of appendicitis, appendectomy avoidance… 4 people, even if they were scheduled for surgery as I explained here:

Appendicitis Appendectomy Avoidance with Herbal Colon Cleanser Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea

I advised:

Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea has saved many people from appendicitis.
I’ve saved some 4 people with it from appendicitis surgery.
Just drink 1/2 cup.
Works in as fast as 30 minutes to relieve pain and in 5 hours will release stuff in your intestines.

You might try using CASTOR OIL.
30 to 60ml depending on your size.
It’s my theory, if you don’t have Dr. Tam’s in your area.

It was up to our hero Zaidi, and we fellow raw paleo diet forum members waited for Zaidi’s report on what happened to him. He finally replied a few minutes ago:

Hallo all of you my dear paleo friends.

I am back home without Operation.

Dorothy’s first mail was the last which I read before going to hospital. That helped me in the sense that Doctor’s were not sure about appendicitis (even after urine & blood test & ultrasound), but still they wanted to operate…. which I didn’t allow.
(Dr. Surgeon meant abdomen at that area was very hard and he was sure it was appendicitis, even if reports were not showing so high infection results)

Then my friend printed out the remaining posts of this thread for me and brought to me.

Thank you GS for concrete information and after reading your advice, I knew what to do. Luckily, in the mean time I got first (little) bowl movement at it’s own and it reduced the pain (but only very little).

I got no Miracle Tea …. so I left with two choices:

1. Get a Salt water flush.

2. Take Senna Tea.

I wanted to ask you advice, but not possible in hospital. So, I went for Senna Tea.

After few hours, I got another bowl movement….. and I was a happy man.

My abdomen became softer and Dr. felt it too and was little surprised too. I also got rid of 70-80% pain just after the 2nd bowl movement. And with in next 2-3 hours, it became more better.

At moment I am almost pain free, and have just come back home after being discharged from hospital. (3rd Blood Test showed all the infections disappeared, after which they allowed me to go back home).

And first thing after coming home I am doing is replying here. First thing I wanted to do was to say Thank you Dorothy, Thank you GS, thank you admins for providing us with this forum, thank you members for keeping this forum alive, sharing your experiences, saving the world.

My eyes are little wet. Could not write more. Love you my friends.

(GS – the initials of GoodSamaritan, my username in the Raw Paleo Diet Forum http://www.rawpaleodietforum.com community.)

Awwww… :'(
My eyes are wet too.
So happy for you!
Congratulations!

Let this be a testimonial for the power of Senna Tea vs Appendicitis!
(As shared by Zaidi.)

* Warning: Senna Tea is not for children… so I’ve heard. *

So keep some Senna Tea in the house for emergencies. I keep castor oil too. Come to think of it, senna tea is so much easier for many people to take since castor oil just tastes to bad and is so thick. Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea is just so impossible in a foreign country outside the Philippines, it just does not keep… it’s a fresh alive product. Senna Tea keeps well… for a long time.

Pure Argan Oil from Morocco Available at The Fort Mercato Saturday Market

January 16, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Pure luck. Last Saturday I was at the Fort in Mercato Saturday Market and there was a table selling Moroccan Argan Oil. The marketing spiel was pretty good. Seemed genuine to me. An exotic oil from Morocco using an exotic fruit / nut from an exotic tree, the argan tree. Which upon searching on the internet is now considered an endangered species and can only be found in Morocco.

Well and good, we got it here in Manila. It will be very useful for me to use this argan oil for the final touches in my 10 year old boy’s eczema. We are at the stage where I put him in chamomile baths or apple cider vinegar baths, then after drying, I put on almond oil… or even better argan oil.

The claims of the benefits of Moroccan oil seem legit, easy enough to understand:

  • Restores and rejuvenates skin from damaging effects of pollution
  • Moisturizes, dry, dull skin
  • Regulates oily skin and helps shrink pores
  • Softens skin irritation and redness, especially in the treatment of acne, blemises, eczema, psoriasis and skin asthma
  • Makes scars and keloids less noticeable
  • Prevents stretch marks
  • Alleviates rheumatism and arthritis pain
  • Nourishes, strengtehns and protects the hair from roots to tips
  • Stimulates new hair growth
  • Moisturizes hair, promotes shine, smoothens frizz and flyaways
  • Strengthens brittle nails.

Neti Pot Sinus Irigation, Quantumin Mineral Drops, Cayenne Tincture

December 18, 2011 by Good Samaritan

Neti pot usage is in the news. Sinus irigation. Some people died because of an amoeba infection due to maybe unclean, un maintained neti pots. That’s possible. They should have sought beam ray for amoeba. That would kill amoeba.

At home we do not use neti pots. That seems too invasive. We use quantumin mineral drops. Nasal drip or any sinus congestion, just wipe one drop over forehead and nose bridge and in a minute the sinus starts declogging. You can also put a drop in each nostril too. It works but it stings.

We also make our own cayenne tincture. Put a teaspoon under the tongue and let it stay for a minute before swallowing. You’ll feel the sinus clear up and the mucus flow.

Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea SALE! 50% off December 14 to 18, 2011

December 12, 2011 by Good Samaritan

I’m tipping you guys off in advance for Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea SALE! 50% off December 14 to 18, 2011. Dr. Tam’s is an effective and proven colon cleanser. Use it if you keep eating wheat / flour as that sticks like glue in the walls of your intestines. Use it to cure appendicitis and avoid surgery.

In my experience, Dr Tam’s Miracle tea is my preferred solution of colonics, and over castor oil. Castor oil is cheaper, and has a longer shelf life that needs no refrigeration, but it tastes so bad not many people can down 30 ml of it even if their lives depended on it. I store both at home.

So take advantage of this sale. You can buy lots of bottles at a time and the staff keeps a record of your bottles as credits. You can then withdraw bottles as you need it. Say you invest in 5 bottles now and get 10 credits. Withdraw every month. A great deal for big families. Be safe.
