Pure Argan Oil from Morocco Available at The Fort Mercato Saturday Market

Pure luck. Last Saturday I was at the Fort in Mercato Saturday Market and there was a table selling Moroccan Argan Oil. The marketing spiel was pretty good. Seemed genuine to me. An exotic oil from Morocco using an exotic fruit / nut from an exotic tree, the argan tree. Which upon searching on the internet is now considered an endangered species and can only be found in Morocco.

Well and good, we got it here in Manila. It will be very useful for me to use this argan oil for the final touches in my 10 year old boy’s eczema. We are at the stage where I put him in chamomile baths or apple cider vinegar baths, then after drying, I put on almond oil… or even better argan oil.

The claims of the benefits of Moroccan oil seem legit, easy enough to understand:

  • Restores and rejuvenates skin from damaging effects of pollution
  • Moisturizes, dry, dull skin
  • Regulates oily skin and helps shrink pores
  • Softens skin irritation and redness, especially in the treatment of acne, blemises, eczema, psoriasis and skin asthma
  • Makes scars and keloids less noticeable
  • Prevents stretch marks
  • Alleviates rheumatism and arthritis pain
  • Nourishes, strengtehns and protects the hair from roots to tips
  • Stimulates new hair growth
  • Moisturizes hair, promotes shine, smoothens frizz and flyaways
  • Strengthens brittle nails.
