Fukushima Nuclear Disaster on 60 Minutes Australia – No More New Nuclear Power Plants!

The Fukushima nuclear disaster that was a result of a 9.1 magnitude earth quake and tsunami March 11, 2011 shows you how the Japanese, some of the richest and most disciplined people in the world can be humbled and broken into destitute poverty and future illness because of the most horrible nuclear accident this world has ever known.

Fukushima has since replaced Chernobyl as the worst nuclear disaster. Witness how bad, how incredibly disastrous all this is. So for any Philippine law makers or business men to ever suggest nuclear power plants be built in the Philippines must be immediately put into prison.

There is absolutely no reason to push for nuclear power plants in the Philippines other than greedy business men wanting to make a quick buck and lobbyists paid the same. We call it: corruption.

And to think weeks before the March 11 Fukushima Disaster Philippine law makers were publicizing in the news papers their intent to push for nuclear power, co-opting several key politicians in provinces they wish to set up their nuclear power plant.

If you remember way back in the mid 1980s we worked hard and sure to junk the Bataan nuclear power plant. Nuclear power plants are not safe, not before, not today, not ever. Chernobyl and Fukushima show that we, the small archipelago of the Philippines cannot afford an accident like Chernobyl or Fukushima. We just do not have the disposable land. Some big nuclear disaster in the Philippines has the potential to make our entire archipelago unlivable.

Baby Formula, Instant Noodles, Anti-Biotics and Big Boil on Baby Boy

Little boy has a big boy. He is only 1 year and 3 months old. Big boil on chest almost 2 inches in diameter. BIG.

When we picked up the little boy from his house, we immediately saw the boil. I went inside the house looking for evidence. What was the boy eating? What were in the cupboards, in the kitchen, in the refrigerator?

Evidence: I saw instant noodle packs on top of the refrigerator. Asked the nannie, do you give this crap to the kid, yes… as soup. What the? Asked if they gave him spaghetti. Yes. And the sauce? Commercial in easy to open tearable packs. What the? Biscuits too.

Little boy has been on anti-biotics for 7 days. What the?

Later I investigated the baby formula. Nannie did not know the name of the baby formula!

Then we arrived at our destination and the nannie showed me the can of the baby formula. Goat’s milk. Seemed good. Dosage shows ratio of 7 scoops to 210 ml water. I asked the nannie what she was doing: 7 scoops to 125 ml. Holy moly, what the toot.

And for how long has this formula been given? 2 weeks?

Talk about mis-raising a baby. This is ridiculous. No wonder the little boy has dirty blood. Boils are a method of dispensing dirt from blood.

Advice: fix the baby formula ratio. Do not give chemical food. Do not give wheat… wheat in all its infernal incarnations. Cleanse the kidneys with avocado leaves tea. No anti-biotics.

Investigate… what do they put on his skin?

Mold Inspections, Indoor Air Pollution, Chicken Farm Air Pollution

It’s not enough that my family is on a paleo-ish diet, it’s not enough that I am on a raw paleo diet. But it seems the pollution going around in the house hold still trumps diet and makes us sick… or “respiratorically” sick… it challenges our lungs.

Neighbor with new chicken farm we are contesting for their illegality, when they came in coincidence we got all sick. Even the maids who live in the next door house. Seems a section of our roof and parts of our ceiling are leaking fine dust from the fine soil from the 2009 Ondoy flood sinking our entire house beyond our roof. And a section on our roof above the toilet, a bare space of bad design that just collects dust and molds.

The mechanism of colds:

The mucus / colds we get are a protective response to pollution. The coughs are there to release phlegm that has protected our lungs deep inside and are now ready to be expelled.

If your throat hurts from coughing tough phlegm, Valda Pastilles in moderation can sooth the throat. Just in moderation, I took too much and made my heart hurt. I’ve had better success with 5 drops of Quantumin Minerals Plus in some 2 shots of gargling water. Gargle with your head tipped back for 1 minute. Awesome relief from soar throat.

Our solution:

Complain to the barangay and have those blasted infested parasitic laden chickens move out. It’s illegal for them to be here anyway. And they are noisy, nose pollution. Non stop cock a doodle doo.

Boarded up the open section of the ceiling.

Sealed up the crevices of the ceiling.

Buy 3F Filtrete and add it to our air conditioner filter.

Bought an Air Purifier to help clean the indoor air pollution from molds, bad germs, chemicals.

Will be exploring the costs and estimates of stripping the ceiling or roof and removing all the left over soil.

And we have taken a vacation house in Calamba, Laguna for the weekends. Will leave after I post this blog…

London Riots: Malaysian Ashraf Haziq Beaten, Jaw Broken, then Robbed Interviewed

London Riots August 2011. Unreal. But it is. I’ve always thought the British were a very civilized people. And the British I know personally ARE very civilized people… too polite to a fault. But not these British and other British in London and parts of the UK where all mayhem, looting and random violence is taking place right now.

These London rioters are animals… just animals… gorillas, apes, devolved humans. From my point of view, from the culture I grew up in, people do not do this kind of wanton violence en mass. It’s obscene.

I’ve been to London twice, but that was a long time ago. My wife was scheduled to go to London April but cancelled and we did our family road trip. She re-booked her flight for 1st week of August 2011 just for the miles, but of course she really had no plans of going. And good thing she did not.

Why would anyone in his right mind now want to go touristing in London now that London’s youth has shown its true character? Much different from the old guard. This is London’s youth? The future? Looks like NO FUTURE to me.

Now take the case of Malaysian 20 year old student Ashraf Haziq. He was biking. His bike yanked from him. He gets beaten up. Jaw broken. Bleeding. He is “helped” up while his back pack was being ransacked of whatever it was worth.

Now I’ve seen smooth pick pockets, even in Paris, they were smooth. But these ANIMALS are unbelievable, with zero human decency!

Malaysian student Mohammed Ashraf Haziq, 20, was robbed in broad daylight during riots in Hackney by a gang who pretended to help him to his feet. Instead, they stole a mobile phone and wallet from Mr Haziq’s rucksack as he stood heavily bleeding, in scenes which symbolized the thuggery of the London riots.

Home air was getting real bad I needed a solution fast.  Seems the fine dust / old mud from the Ondoy flood in 2009 has not stopped haunting our home.  Last time I blogged about it we sealed the ceiling with a glue gun to prevent seepage of fine dust.  Seems it hasn’t stopped.  I asked the maids to clean the ceiling facing beams and sure enough there were tons of dirt there… in all the 4 beams.  Plus on top of the toilet, an attic like space is open to gather even more dust.

Here is a tip I don’t share every day.  Where do I buy really organic vegetables?  Vegetables that I am sure are “organic” to the highest lofty expectations of what organic is supposed to be?  I buy from the father of organic farming in the Philippines.  I buy from the man and his family who certify other farms as organic.  I buy from the man who continues further research into organic farming for vegetables and livestock.  This man is Gil Carandang of Herbana Farms, his son is Gian Carandang.

Herbana Farms sells its produce every Saturday in 2 outlets:

  • In Mercato Fort Bonifacio from 7am to 2pm Saturdays only
  • In Leviste St. Makati from 7am to 2pm Saturdays only

Herbana Farms grows its produce in its own land in Cabuyao Laguna.  They also sell some of their co-organic farmer partners produce.  And I trust Gil 100%.

The real tip here is to let you know that the best place to buy organic vegetables from Herbana Farms is with Gil Carandang’s son Gian Carandang in Mercato Fort Bonifacio.  Why?

  • The parking is more spacious than building ridden Makati
  • You have better choices because Gian’s stall Fort Bonifacio is not as popular as his Dad’s stall in Makati.
  • The Makati stall is too popular, you arrive later in the morning and everything is gone.
  • In Fort Bonifacio, you can arrive later in the morning and there’s still lots more for you.
  • There is absolutely no difference between Dad Gil’s stall in Makati and Son Gian’s stall in Fort Bonifacio, they both come from the same farm.

Now I’m not telling you exactly which fruits or vegetables I recommend, I’d like to keep those to myself, I might run out of it if all of you guys go rushing in and buy at Gian’s Fort Bonifacio stall.

Coronal Mass Ejections 2011 August 4: It’s Time You tuned in to Space Weather

Official NOAA spokesman Dr. Doug Biesecker talks about the August 4 coronal mass ejections, 3 of them all earth bound. This comes up to the highest of M class flares and will not cause any direct biological damage, but may cause satellite and power grid disruptions.

It’s just about that time for folks to realize we are in the 21st century. NASA scientists have these satellites observing the sun’s every movement. They know that what the sun does affects the earth. Satellite names are Stereo A and B, SOHO, etc.

2200Z, August 5, 2011 – In the wake of the shocked solar wind, G2 (Moderate) Geomagnetic Storm conditions have been seen already, and a warning for G3 (Strong) Storming has been issued. Strong, Prolonged Southward Interplanetary Magnetic Field and fast solar wind continue to fuel the disturbance.

1800Z, August 5, 2011 – The shock passed ACE just over 30 minutes ago; watch now for more geomagnetic and solar radiation storm activity.

1400Z, August 5, 2011 – Conditions have quieted since the arrival of the first shock late yesterday. Its passage did not excite the geomagnetic field much, as was predicted — rather it’s the still-expected jolt from two others still on the way. ACE low energy proton data show there’s still a good chance of their arrival any time soon.

Meanwhile back at the Sun, the active regions that have been so productive the past few days have been either stable or in decay in the past day. Keep a watch here for further developments, both nearer the Earth or back at the Sun.

2300Z, August 4, 2011 – The first of the three shocks arrived at 2155Z, about one hour ago. So far, only slight disturbances to the geomagnetic field, but there is plenty of action still anticipated. See a video of a SWPC researcher talking about this activity and what we can expect: Video
1500Z, August 4, 2011 – Great anticipation for the first of what may be three convergent shocks to slam the geomagnetic field in the next twelve hours, +/-. The CME with the Radio Blackout earlier today is by far the fastest, and may catch its forerunners in the early hours of August 5 (UTC) — at earth.

Two impacts are expected; G2 (Moderate) to G3 (Strong) Geomagnetic Storming on August 5, and potentially elevated protons to the S2 (Moderate) Solar Radiation Storm condition, those piling up ahead of the shock. The source of it all, Region 1261, is still hot, so more eruptions are possible.
