Health Benefits of Coconut Oil: A Great Source of FAT – Dengue Fever Update

January 24, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Our younger maid who has become sickly lately and lately recovering from dengue fever was suffering from fat deficiency and bad fat poisoning. Here is why:

I first noticed my maid was a fat phobic person. She would meticulously remove all the animal fat, whatever animal she was eating. Remove all the pork fat, remove all the fish fat, remove all duck or chicken skin, cook egg yolks to death.

The only fat she seemed to be able to consume was cooking oil, whatever her food was fried with. For some reason, they have this suspicious looking “culinary oil” which was allegedly coconut oil… but suspiciously cheap. It was not your usual langis. It was too yellowish. Probably hydrogenated, hell, even recycled. And that is what she eats only in terms of fat.

This maid, she came down with dengue fever and has been sick for a week. She’s the only one who came down with dengue fever. And I attribute this to fat poisoning. I thought that if she can’t eat any fat at all and gags on them… I tried giving her fermented cod liver oil… then may as well massage virgin coconut oil on her skin, maybe her skin can absorb enough into her blood stream.

Then I probingly asked her if she could eat the virgin coconut oil. And she said yes. She found the taste appealing. Only for me to find out later that indeed it was coconut oil she was usually consuming. Let me explain further.

Our maid had a stash of a tiny plastic flask that contained langis, cooked coconut oil with a few herbs and special prayers from her home town in her province. She would eat coconut oil “langis” some 5 times a week. And THAT was her main source of healthy fat. But she ran out of her langis a few weeks ago. And that led her to keep getting sick.

So I was happy to give her more virgin coconut oil. And I asked if she could call her home town and ask them to send her more of her coconut oil “langis”. Indeed she had requested. And a new bottle was waiting for her in Intramuros. I gave her uncle some money to pick up the special coconut oil from Intramuros.

So how has the diluted orange juice been doing for her? Pretty good. She’s recovering from dengue fever. Steadily gaining strength. And she now has her source of coconut oil: the virgin coconut oil and her coconut oil “langis.”

What are the health benefits of coconut oil? Well, if you are fat phobic and do not get any animal fat, coconut oil is the best you got as a substitute. Raw grass fed animal fats would be best, but coconut oil will have to do if you haven’t joined the raw paleo diet movement yet.

Appendicitis, Appendectomy: Avoid Surgery with Herbal Colon Cleanser Senna Tea – Testimonial

January 23, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Getting involved in the raw paleo diet forum has its benefits.  Saving the world from illness, 1 person at a time.  This time it was barely a year member Zaidi had intense stomach pains.  Suspected appendicitis, appendectomy recommended by the ever blame less conventional emergency medical care system.  But Zaidi wanted something better, a better outcome than appendicitis, appendectomy.  How about no appendectomy? No surgery! It certainly is possible, ask the guys at the raw paleo diet forum.

In http://www.rawpaleodietforum.com/general-discussion/urgent-what-to-do-in-appendicitis/ Zaidi asked:

I am feeling pain in right side stomach and also have slight fever at moment.

My house doctor has just told me to go to the hospital as he doubts it is Appendicitis.

Please advise what to do. I don’t want to undergo any operation

Members were quick to jump in with what they know.

One said, go to the hospital, “It ruptures, you die. Simple as that. I would go to the hospital.”

Others admittedly maverick:

Zaidi – did you mean to say that your doctor told you to go to the hospital because he thinks it’s appendicitis instead of he doubts that it’s appendicitis? I don’t know why your doctor wants you to go to the hospital if he doubts it’s appendicitis. Then he would more likely tell you to come to the office for an examination. Maybe he’s being very cautious?

If your doctor thinks it is appendicitis then you could have have a serious condition – your appendix can rupture and that would be really bad. I understand fully that you don’t want surgery – but unless someone knows for certain here how to reverse such a thing quickly – you don’t have much of a choice.

Here’s the only thing that I think I would try – but this is me – and it’s really stupid. The smart thing to do is to go to the hospital asap. I’m a nut – remember that. I wouldn’t go to a hospital if the other choice was death – so I’m very extreme.

Appendicitis is an infection of a small part of the colon that no longer has any use. Sometimes it is caused by something getting stuck and sometimes – just an infection starts. The appendicitis gets filled up with pus from the dying white blood cells. Sometimes doctors will try a course of antibiotics or they can do what is called keyhole surgery leaving the tiniest of scars and which is not very invasive. These are very good options. They are not nearly as bad as having a ruptured appendix. They are smart. Dumb me – what I would do is take my mixture of dmso with colloidal silver and I would rub it right on the place that is in pain. The dmso would take the colloidal silver directly into the blood stream right where the infection is. But I have dmso, have already researched it for myself, experimented with it at length and believe it to be harmless. I know it reduces swelling fast. I don’t believe all the warnings you will find because I have researched it from all sides. You have no reason to believe me vs. anyone else. I also have used colloidal silver for decades to heal myself and others of many things. I trust it. I know how to make sure it is good quality.

You can’t take anything internally that won’t have to fight all your other gut bacteria before getting to that infected appendix. Who knows if that might not do you more harm anyway than having surgery?

If you have appendicitis you are in an emergency situation. It’s hard to learn what you need to learn in an emergency. You also have to acquire what you may decide to try once you learn what you think might help you better than surgery.

But……. if your doctor indeed DOUBTS that it is appendicitis – then you have time to research and experiment. It can then be many different things giving you that pain. You can let the doctors give you a diagnosis and decide how to treat it for yourself after you know more about what it is.

I have very limited knowledge and experience with appendicitis. Maybe someone else here does. But don’t wait too long ok? You REALLY don’t want that thing rupturing.

I just gave my personal experience with myself and healing others of appendicitis, appendectomy avoidance… 4 people, even if they were scheduled for surgery as I explained here:

Appendicitis Appendectomy Avoidance with Herbal Colon Cleanser Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea

I advised:

Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea has saved many people from appendicitis.
I’ve saved some 4 people with it from appendicitis surgery.
Just drink 1/2 cup.
Works in as fast as 30 minutes to relieve pain and in 5 hours will release stuff in your intestines.

You might try using CASTOR OIL.
30 to 60ml depending on your size.
It’s my theory, if you don’t have Dr. Tam’s in your area.

It was up to our hero Zaidi, and we fellow raw paleo diet forum members waited for Zaidi’s report on what happened to him. He finally replied a few minutes ago:

Hallo all of you my dear paleo friends.

I am back home without Operation.

Dorothy’s first mail was the last which I read before going to hospital. That helped me in the sense that Doctor’s were not sure about appendicitis (even after urine & blood test & ultrasound), but still they wanted to operate…. which I didn’t allow.
(Dr. Surgeon meant abdomen at that area was very hard and he was sure it was appendicitis, even if reports were not showing so high infection results)

Then my friend printed out the remaining posts of this thread for me and brought to me.

Thank you GS for concrete information and after reading your advice, I knew what to do. Luckily, in the mean time I got first (little) bowl movement at it’s own and it reduced the pain (but only very little).

I got no Miracle Tea …. so I left with two choices:

1. Get a Salt water flush.

2. Take Senna Tea.

I wanted to ask you advice, but not possible in hospital. So, I went for Senna Tea.

After few hours, I got another bowl movement….. and I was a happy man.

My abdomen became softer and Dr. felt it too and was little surprised too. I also got rid of 70-80% pain just after the 2nd bowl movement. And with in next 2-3 hours, it became more better.

At moment I am almost pain free, and have just come back home after being discharged from hospital. (3rd Blood Test showed all the infections disappeared, after which they allowed me to go back home).

And first thing after coming home I am doing is replying here. First thing I wanted to do was to say Thank you Dorothy, Thank you GS, thank you admins for providing us with this forum, thank you members for keeping this forum alive, sharing your experiences, saving the world.

My eyes are little wet. Could not write more. Love you my friends.

(GS – the initials of GoodSamaritan, my username in the Raw Paleo Diet Forum http://www.rawpaleodietforum.com community.)

Awwww… :'(
My eyes are wet too.
So happy for you!
Congratulations!

Let this be a testimonial for the power of Senna Tea vs Appendicitis!
(As shared by Zaidi.)

* Warning: Senna Tea is not for children… so I’ve heard. *

So keep some Senna Tea in the house for emergencies. I keep castor oil too. Come to think of it, senna tea is so much easier for many people to take since castor oil just tastes to bad and is so thick. Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea is just so impossible in a foreign country outside the Philippines, it just does not keep… it’s a fresh alive product. Senna Tea keeps well… for a long time.

5 Days Sick: UTI? Kidney Infection? Internal Bleeding? Dengue Fever?

January 20, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Our younger maid is sick, been so for 5 days.  We thought it was just those usual fevers people get when they haven’t been eating well.  Yesterday she saw a doctor and her urine analysis comes up with UTI… urinary tract infection.  Uh huh, but she does not feel anything on her urinary tract.  But she does feel lower back pain… kidney infection?  Just like her uncle?

I’m suspecting that kidney infection angle as she’s the kind of person who intentionally avoids fat.  She does not like eating fat of pork, or soft egg yolks in sunny side up eggs or soft boiled eggs.  But she does eat fried food.  And whatever bad cooking oil that is.  They use some kind of cheap “culinary oil” allegedly from coconuts, betcha it is hydrogenated or worse.

My theory is that lack of dietary fat and overdose of cooked protein whether from animals or seeds / beans, are kidney killer things.

I put her on pyroenergen for 1 hour, it made her feel better during that time.

Then I found out from her that for 2 days, her poops were jet black.  But today her poop was brown again.  Jet black?  Internal bleeding?

So I asked her co worker to spread / massage some virgin coconut oil on her skin.  If she won’t eat fat, she may as well absorb some fat through her skin.  If it’s an emergency, through her rectum is also possible.

Then later this evening her aunt discovers red spots on her back.  Symptoms of dengue fever?  We fan out to find anti dengue herbs.  In the garden we find some kamote tops leaves, pound into fresh juice, add some water.  Drink.

A maid and I walk out on the streets to find more Tawa Tawa weeds to cook into tea.  We found a big stash.  Made some tawa tawa tea and instructed 1 cup every hour.  By 11:30 I saw our sick maid still awake, asked them to let her sleep after taking a 2nd cup of tawa tawa tea.  All in all she’s taken a cup of kamote tops leaves juice, and 2 cups of tawa tawa tea.

Let’s wish her good healing tomorrow morning.

Pure Argan Oil from Morocco Available at The Fort Mercato Saturday Market

January 16, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Pure luck. Last Saturday I was at the Fort in Mercato Saturday Market and there was a table selling Moroccan Argan Oil. The marketing spiel was pretty good. Seemed genuine to me. An exotic oil from Morocco using an exotic fruit / nut from an exotic tree, the argan tree. Which upon searching on the internet is now considered an endangered species and can only be found in Morocco.

Well and good, we got it here in Manila. It will be very useful for me to use this argan oil for the final touches in my 10 year old boy’s eczema. We are at the stage where I put him in chamomile baths or apple cider vinegar baths, then after drying, I put on almond oil… or even better argan oil.

The claims of the benefits of Moroccan oil seem legit, easy enough to understand:

  • Restores and rejuvenates skin from damaging effects of pollution
  • Moisturizes, dry, dull skin
  • Regulates oily skin and helps shrink pores
  • Softens skin irritation and redness, especially in the treatment of acne, blemises, eczema, psoriasis and skin asthma
  • Makes scars and keloids less noticeable
  • Prevents stretch marks
  • Alleviates rheumatism and arthritis pain
  • Nourishes, strengtehns and protects the hair from roots to tips
  • Stimulates new hair growth
  • Moisturizes hair, promotes shine, smoothens frizz and flyaways
  • Strengthens brittle nails.

If you are interested in buying your own argan oil, these are th contact details of my source:

Longevity by Li Ching Yuen 197 or 256 Years Old. Died 1933.

January 16, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Awesome idol of a guy. And I thought 120 years old was to be an achievement. Now with this guy Li Ching Yuen is said to have lived either 197 or 256 years old.

We raw paleo dieters should be able to crack this code.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Ching-Yuen

Now that I’ve found health in raw paleo diet and lifestyle, my next health goal is longevity, like this guy.

Mr. Li had 23 wives, 200 children, was a herbalist, martial artist and military tactical advisor with the Chinese government.  And at the same time, Li was 7 feet tall, a giant!

The secret of longevity according to Li Ching Yuen

  • Tranquil mind
  • Sit like a tortoise
  • Walk sprightly like a pigeon
  • Sleep like a dog

I just realized.

We raw paleo diet and lifestyle practitioners are the 21st century “hermits” and with global communications, a few of us will surely be able to do this longevity thing too.

I believe in cumulative knowledge and each generation trying to be better than the previous one.

Li Ching Yuen in 1927

Searching around the internet and it is such a laugh how those who have no Chinese arts contact think this Li Ching Yuen is a hoax. FYI, I’ve got some of the pieces already:

– My friend JM is a student of JD who is a master of internal martial arts and practices those Quigong techniques. And I’ve attended several sessions with JD.

– My friend SJS is a Kung Fu master, traditional chinese medicine practitioner, master acupuncturist and full time master holistic healer.

– My teacher MH in one of his lessons taught about the ancient breathing technique exercises that led to long lives.

– As Network Administrator and practitioner of the Raw Paleolithic Diet and Lifestyle, we modern day hermits are networked and talk about these things.

Longevity and health can be taught. Like this 109 year old black guy who has a book and gives talks on longevity. He learned about longevity and health from his own father while he was growing up. So he got a big boost right there.

Then there are the medical advances of the 21st century. My own father in law to this day never imagined he would live through his 70s, he used to think humans only lived for 50 years old. My paternal grand parents and great grand parents were centenarians, I’d have to be an improvement with all this knowledge at our fingertips.

Hypoglycemia Symptoms with Coffee, Experiment Concluded

January 15, 2012 by Good Samaritan

My organic brewed coffee experiment on myself showed that I am hopelessly allergic to coffee. It was not the raw honey as I previously thought. It was the coffee, the caffeine in the coffee that was causing me hypoglycemic symptoms whenever I take some brewed coffee for socials.Continue Reading

Comfortable Shoes! Bought 3 pairs

January 10, 2012 by Good Samaritan

Splurged a little. 5,000 + on 3 pairs of shoes and a leather belt. In SM, for 5,000 and above you can pay in 3 monthly installments at zero interest. Cool. 3 pairs of comfortable shoes after 3 years of not buying any new shoes for myself. It’s a treat.

Comfortable shoes are very important. It’s what I look for when I buy shoes. I first think of the color of the shoes I need depending on what I have right now. I’ve got a good pair of blacks. I want reddish, maroon type, brownish shoes. So I got 1 comfortable casual shoe. And 2 comfortable more formal type shoes. One of them long toed. Funny I thought long toed would be uncomfortable but seems I was mistaken, long shoes give that assured extra space.

Got to test the casual shoe pair this afternoon. I had a meeting in Manila and the easiest way was to take the train. So lots of walking today. Glad to have my new comfortable shoes on, walking around the city was absolutely enjoyable.

My elder boy told me that the new shoes look good on me and that my old shoes didn’t look good anymore.

I bought 3 different brands: Gibi, Rusty Lopez and W Brown. All Philippine made. Yes, we know how to make em real good.
