I drove up the mountains of Antipolo last Sunday to buy my fruits. I was looking for wild mountain fruit. The kind of fruit where the sellers just pick freely. I was rewarded with a set of 3 marangs for 110 pesos. They said they picked it from the surroundings. It was ripe, sweet and yummy.
And I thought these only grew in the Mindanao area. They are usually too expensive in Tiendesitas. But in the provinces I’ve seen this sold so cheap. Whatever. We enjoyed it.

where particularly in antipolo can i get marang?
I went in the direction of Cogeo. I went up to Boso boso. In Boso Boso there are fruit vendors lining the highway. Stop by each and every one of them and ask them if they have marang. It is not abundant. They just grow wild.
In Laguna and Quezon marang is grown privately in their backyards.
