Raw Meat Diet for New Japanese Spitz Puppy

For the first time, we got a dog of our own. We used to share a dog with my brother in law, it was a Japanese Spitz, she got lost and never returned. Then my brother in law got another dog, this time a beagle – bad kind of dog, useless creature. That one got lost again, whoopee!

Village burglaries are on the rise, recently my own office got burgled so I thought we needed a barking dog in our own yard. The old Japanese Spitz did such a fine job at that time, her name was Powder. I believe that old dog was one of the best dogs we’ve had. She only pooped and peed in the far part of the garden, she greeted me every time I got home and led me to the door. She never once wanted to get in the house, she knew her place was outside. She barked at all the strangers menacingly.

So we finally got a dog this afternoon. I scanned sulit.com.ph and looked for a male Japanese Spitz puppy. Found one that was available and met the young lady this afternoon at SM City North EDSA. Bought the 2.5 month old puppy for 3,500 pesos. She said the puppy had been weaned away from mother’s milk and was eating “dog food” – whatever that was. We named the dog SNOWY, just like the cartoon character Tin Tin’s dog.

On the way home we passed by a pet shop and bought a small carrying case which will serve as Snowy’s domicile while he grew up. We bought a collar and a leash, got to let him get used to it. And we also bought a doggie plate.

Dog was thirsty when we finally got home and I gave him some of my left over coconut juice. After a while I fed him some of my 2 week old raw horse heart and raw horse fat. He smelled, tasted and ate it. Pooped 3 times later on and the kids were playing around with him in the garden.

Told all the help this was going to be a 100% raw diet dog. Raw meat, raw bones and few raw vegetables plus our purified water.

The seller told us the puppy was still young and would be sleeping a lot. On the road going home the dog was asleep. After playing with the kids, the dog was asleep again. I’m waiting for Snowy to wake up so I can feed him more raw horse heart and fat.

Why a raw meat diet for our new dog? Because I want him to be in the best of health and live his life to the fullest.
