Fiber Myth and Cholesterol Reduction Hoax

July 22, 2010 by Good Samaritan

Here is an entertaining monologue by Konstantin Monastyrsky: Dietary fiber in food and supplements is broadly promoted for the prevention of heart disease because, allegedly, it lowers cholesterol. Actually, this is a lie — not only does fiber not reduce cholesterol or prevent heart disease, it also increases your risk of atherosclerosis, heart attack, sudden cardiac arrest, and stroke by reducing HDL (“good” ) cholesterol and blocking the assimilation of essential nutrients.

This is for all you study junkies.

Author’s note:

I once got a call from a high-flying lawyer, a friend of a friend who had given him a copy of Fiber Menace to ponder over. I met the guy only once — a distinguished-looking fellow in his early sixties, a “power broker” directly from central casting. He was married to a very attractive lady, two decades younger, also a prominent personality in her own right.

Out of the blue, he had called to tell me that my book was “crap,” and that what I know about nutrition is “crap” too. All that, because the fiber from rolled oats that he had been eating for ages kept him young, fit, and healthy. And if I had any doubts about his vitality, then just one look at his wife would prove it “beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Taken aback by this unusually sharp affront, I still managed to ask him what his reaction would be, if I had thrashed out any of his legal opinions just as categorically as he had just trashed my book based on my recent experience winning a case in the Small Claims Court. He hung up without answer.

Few months later this cocksure boor ended up in hospital with a massive stroke from which he never fully recovered. Had he read my book without prejudice, he — for all I know — might still have been sowing his wild oats instead of withering away in the wheelchair.

Pulse Reading with Chinese Health Consultant Pastor Ramon Khu

July 21, 2010 by Good Samaritan

I was fortunate last night to be diagnosed by a professional Chinese health consultant with his pulse reading. Pastor Ramon Khu spent some time with a couple of friends last night and transmitted to us some of his knowledge. I have heard about Chinese pulse reading before, but this is the first time I have felt it for myself. Pastor Khu used 3 fingers on my lower left arm and hand. He spent some 10 or more minutes analyzing me and asking questions. A different pattern of holding analyzes a different section of blood flow from which set of organs.

Here is Pastor Khu’s reading of my current state of health:

Kidneys – says my kidneys are tired. I may have used to been fed salty foods or foods with preservatives such as tocino or longanisa. I said tocino used to be one of my favorite foods. Tocino is preserved pork in celetre, a form of flavoring, invented in the province of Pampanga.

Pastor Khu suggested I cleanse my kidneys with Taheebo or Sambong or Cat Whiskers. I choose sambong because there are sambong trees in our village so I can make fresh sambong tea. Pastor Khu does not like avocado leaves tea if the avocado tree grows in the city because in his opinion, avocado leaves absorb too much pollution. But provincial avocado leaves are alright with him.

Suggested 1 shot of wine with my eating of raw meat for enzyme building and digestion. Both he and Vander have the same opinion. Vander wants vinegar. Pastor Khu says the black vinegar I’m experimenting with is excellent, he said he could feel it in my pulse. For wine, he suggests expensive red wine or the cheap good wine is Mompo.

Pastor Khu also suggested 1/4 kilo of citrus daily to balance my raw meat eating. He suggests a combination of pomelo, orange, suha – not juiced – whole fruit.

Pastor Khu suggested drinking purified water in a clay pot with a non metallic dipper. He wants no metals or plastics touching the water. He suggests to add 3 slices of lemon in 1 pitcher of water.

Pastor Khu does not detect any parasite problem in me, he tried looking for parasites on the suggestion of my friend knowing I eat raw meat daily. My theory is that parasites only give problems when you are constipated and polluted. When constipated, parasites hatch inside you, when polluted, parasites migrate to organs they aren’t supposed to be in.

For my heart – Pastor Khu says my heart is 70% good.

For my liver – Pastor Khu says my liver is very good. Wow. I said I used to expel a lot of liver stones during my eczema days. Pastor Khu says it must have been the medications I took in my younger days that hardened a portion of my liver. I’m thinking ro-accutane which I took for several months for acne.

Tendons: Pastor Khu says I need exercise, stretching and bending.

Prostate: Pastor Khu says it seems to be a little inflamed. Suggested when I pee, I exercise my prostate with pee holding exercises, some 5 to 10 seconds, then resume. Do this several times. I did it this morning when I woke up. Held it twice during the morning stream.

So this pulse reading was interesting. I hope to see more of Pastor Ramon Khu in the future. If you need any pulse reading, handwriting analysis and health consultation from a Chinese medicine point of view, contact:

Stroke Recovery: Fast and Complete with Bone Marrow or Herbal Supplements?

July 21, 2010 by Good Samaritan

Last night I met a dynamic duo.  Abel sold herbal supplements etc. and Ramon did Chinese pulse reading and is a health consultant.  One of their specialties is stroke recovery.  They are seeking, looking, calling out to stroke victims to help them recover.

My friend Jackie and I were joking that this should be easy enough to push.  I can just tell the stroke recovery victims to choose to either eat like me and eat fresh raw beef bone marrow and raw beef meat and fat daily, or take Abel’s herbal supplements.

I remember one of my butchers telling me he has a loyal customer who buys lots of beef bone marrow from him for her husband’s stroke recovery.  Her husband has survived 3 strokes.  But after several weeks of beef bone marrow eating, he has completely recovered and can now drive his own car.

Of course Abel and Ramon have their own success stories with stroke recovery patients like the one operated on his skull and turned vegetable but quickly recovered to an interactive state and now walking on his own.

So which will it be?  Raw meat with raw bone marrow or the herbal drink for you?  How about doing both?

If you or a loved one needs stroke recovery help, email me or post a reply with your name, email and number and I will have Abel and Ramon contact you.

Charice Pempengco’s Botox Treatment for TMJ ??? WTF?

July 20, 2010 by Good Samaritan

Ah to be young and easily make the wrong choices.  This is so inane and reeks of fast commercialization instead of long term health.  Charice got botox “to look fresh on camera”? Duuuhhhh, don’t you get that easily with adequate sleep?

Then there is the thing about Charice’s face growing wider because of her chewing gum habit.  So she was recommended botox.  Geez, didn’t anyone advice Charice to just give up her chewing gum habit?

Then her PR manager says Charice had botox not for cosmetic purposes but for TMJ pain.  Gosh, my biological dentists never once had a pamphlet that said let’s do botox for your TMJ pain.

Everything is plain to see in the eagle eyes of true health advocates.

So let’s just wish the young Charice all well in her career.  Happy shooting with the Glee cast!  May your star shine brighter!  And get some real health education so you can make better choices in the future.
