My 8 year old Boy does a 1 day Orange Juice Fast with me

September 12, 2009 by Good Samaritan

Funny it was my 8 year old boy who requested me that he do a 1 day orange juice fast. Maybe I talk too much about these techniques. It’s a good idea, I teach the kid these tricks while he is young he grows up knowing how to do these himself. So this Saturday was the orange juice fast day… F-A-S-T not FEAST… okay? Just making myself heard clearly.

I learned orange juice fasting from Barefoot Herbalist MH, I had done 3 days fasts and a 14 day orange juice fast. Lately I do not feel the need to do any fasting since I am on a raw paleo diet with raw meat… raw meat is different, it’s clean… unlike cooked meat that makes me want to fast every now and then.

In Barefoot’s orange juice fast he recommended 8 oranges a day and to supplement with soy lecithin for fats. I never liked the soy lecithin I got and tried in the past so for my son I got him fertilized native chicken egg yolks instead. And since he is small, I just gave him 4 oranges. We got allegedly valencia type oranges from the market.

I think the best part he and his siblings liked was juicing the oranges in the juicer. Nannie Jean helped out and the kids had fun taking turns on the orange juicer eventually juicing 12 oranges.

My son’s orange juice fast went really smooth I was pleasantly surprised. 7:30 am was the first glass of orange juice with water he drank. I just had half an orange squeezed plus half a glass of water. We put all the squeezed orange juice in a bottle for easy access. My boy would just fill in his own glass and drink by himself every 2 hours. And he kept playing all day with his x-stick, we went to the mall, and he went to his cousin’s house. The whole day he must have taken 5 small chicken egg yolks… these are native chicken RAW egg yolks… pretty small.

My wife was playing devil’s advocate offering my son food at the dinner table. My son and I finished our last glass of orange juice while my wife and my in laws feasted on grilled in banana leaves tuna jaw, fresh raw tuna from general santos city, salad greens and Japanese goma sauce. I played orange juice fast buddy to my son so he found it very easy to resist any food smell or offerings… and he even witnessed during mid afternoon snack his 2 siblings eat fresh durian!!!

Before bed he pooped. No need for an enema as specified in the orange juice fast manual.

My boy was excited to get a good night’s sleep to wake up to a durian breakfast.

I hope this fast enhances his digestive capabilities.

4 Year Old Girl Gets Lots of Tooth Decay from High Fruit High Rice Diet – Toothbrushing and Flossing ineffective

September 12, 2009 by Good Samaritan

My 4 year old girl had been suffering from pain in her two teeth, one in the left and one on the right.  Tooth decay.  I had put clove oil on her painful teeth as first aid relief.  I badgered my wife to bring her to the biological dentist Dr. Gaba to heal her pain.

This 10am our 4 year old girl had her first dental appointment and had a tooth cavity fixed and filled. She was brave.  No fear.  Dentist was pleased.

This example hammered the points of the Cure Tooth Decay book by Rami Nagel about the real cause of tooth decay.  My wife and I had been debating this issue for quite some time.  My wife is an extreme tooth brusher.  She believes in tooth brushing and flossing… very thoroughly… yet this concept is false.  And just as Rami Nagel wrote in his book, it is sugar spikes, too much carbs from excessive fruits and excessive rice that was the culprit to our 4 year old child’s multiple teeth decaying.

This child of ours eats sweet fruits (rambutan) in the morning for breakfast… but mid morning she eats rice with cooked animal food… then at lunch rice again with cooked animal food… by mid afternoon snack she eats sweet fruits again (rambutan lately)… then dinner there are times she eats soup and rice only.  Talk about carbohydrate overdosing.

Don’t look at me, I’m not the one buying those extremely abundant rambutans… I buy the fatty meats these days… not the fruits.

This child is very very good at tooth brushing and flossing… bzzzzzz… wrong answer to tooth decay… I told you so… and this had to happen only to drive the point across that tooth brushing and flossing does not prevent tooth decay.  Tooth brushing and flossing is cosmetic… not functional.

So finally both my wife and I are on the same page, cut out rice.  We made the 2 younger kids choose… give up rice or give up fruits?  Give up rice.

Clamp down on the sweet fruits! Rambutan is too sweet. When you eat a sweet fruit you pair it with fat like avocado or raw egg yolks so it does not cause tooth decay. The only fruits I buy lately are high vitamin c native guavas and durians.

I have no problems with my 8 year old boy I’m handling now, he has been rice less a few weeks now on the Daddy treatment for his malnutrition.

Good that durians are in season now, it is sweet and fat at the same time, no overeating on this fruit, it fills you up real fast because it is FAT.

A clear path towards paleo diet for all children is in clear view. My wife is now on board.

4 Straight Days of Egg Yolk Liver Flushing with my 8 year old Boy

September 11, 2009 by Good Samaritan

It was a great experience buddying up with my 8 year old son for his egg yolk liver flushing which went on 4 consecutive days last Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

As some of you who have followed, my son was diagnosed with tuberculosis in his chest X-ray and it is apparent that he looks malnourished and not thriving.

One aspect of the problem is not enough good food.  Another aspect is mal-absorption of food.

So to clear up mal-absorption of food my son is on paleo diet, usually mono meals, we got rid of rice and he is on high fat diet with fruits as his carbs.

Another thing to improve his digestion is to clean or tone his liver.  A few days prior I bought a few cartons of Harvey Crushed apple juice to move the liver. We then proceeded to do a 4 day egg yolk liver flush.  This is great because there are no chemicals involved like those epsom salts in Hulda Clark’s version of the liver flush.  This is very easy a little boy can do it.

Every morning around 6:30am:

I measured around 1/6th cup of raw chicken egg yolks mixed with 1/4th cup of freshly squeezed calamansi juice which my boy drank.  Then followed it up with 2 tablespoons of unsalted Anchor Butter (yellow grass fed butter from New Zealand).

I then asked my boy to lie down for 20 minutes.

I did the same things he did but of course I used more material than him.  I lied down just the same.

It was all very easy.  I got some benefit myself.  Mosquito bites seem to heal quicker.

My boy had a blast… he was relieved to be finished by Thursday.  What was hard for him is eating that much plain butter with no salt added.

He then requested to do a 1 day orange juice fast soon!

How to open live oysters

September 5, 2009 by Good Samaritan

Hah. Now I know how to open live oysters. My son’s request for live oysters paid off. 2 days ago we got live oysters and my cousin tried grilling them to open. I observed that it was hot stuff, hard stuff and it was cooking the oysters… not good… very bad technique.

After our first experiment with live oysters from Farmers Market my son asked me if I got a tummy ache, were the oysters safe? No, no tummy ache, oysters are safe to eat. This time I went to market and asked the market man to let me taste an oyster. He demonstrated and taught me how to open live oysters:

  1. Use your small knife and chip away at the edge of an oyster exposing its gap, opening.
  2. Use your small knife and jam it in and twist it to open the oyster.

Very very easy!

How to eat the live oyster.

You can leave it in the half shell and serve, some are still alive, you can see them moving.

You can slurp the half shell with your mouth like kissing it to suck at the juices and eventually eat the flesh of the oyster.

Oysters are very filling this way.  The bagged oysters have something lost in them.

You can also get a slice of lemon or calamansi and squeeze it on an oyster to disinfect it if you fear bacteria.

You can also use authentic vinegar like our sukang tuba (vinegar from coconuts) as the oysters can be dipped in for a minute and it will be “cooked” or disinfected by the vinegar.

Do not use those commercial fake manufactured vinegars.

Another good nutritious day of eating for my malnourished boy

September 2, 2009 by Good Samaritan

My 8 year old boy woke up late this morning.  He made it to class just in time.  But there was no time to play in the playground for some sun.  He had some light breakfast which his mom prepared, some papaya, some rambutan and a raw fertilized duck egg yolk.

* Note: the papaya is organic, the rambutan is organic, the raw fertilized duck egg is organic imported from a remote town in Palawan.

I know for his school packed lunch he has wild ocean tangigue fish which is pan seared on ghee / clarified butter.  To buffer his cooked meat he has an organic raw cucumber.

* Note that the tangigue fish is wild ocean, supposedly loaded with good omega 3 fats and the clarified butter is supposed to give good fats as well (albeight cooked).  Searing isn’t so bad, just some 5 seconds per side of the fish slice.

Upon reaching home, I was having my raw beef for lunch… I gave him the raw beef muscle blood to drink, maybe 20 ounces of the drippings.

* Note that the raw beef and raw beef blood is part of our zomotherapy… the answer to tuberculosis.

For an afternoon snack I don’t know what he had, I was out getting wild river turtles from my hunter.  Maybe he had fruit?

For dinner I fed the children personally.  They had raw tangigue prepared with slices of ginger, onions and cayenne pepper squeezed with calamansi… a dish called kinilaw.  The calamansi juices “cook” the raw tangigue meat for a few minutes and it is chilled in the refrigerator.  This was just the starter course.

* Note the same wild ocean tangigue fish.

The main dinner was lightly seared 2 inch thick grass fed sirloin batangas beef.  The chicken had fun watching and counting down the cook with their 10 second chants which actually seemed like 6 seconds as the kids are impatient and count fast.  I think they like the mere smell of seared but love the inside absolutely bloody raw.

* Note that we get only freshly killed authentic competitive batangas beef in Farmers Market in Cubao.

There was a beef fat shortage as the children gorged on the yummy yellow fat, I had to ask the cook for more fat from the refrigerator which was supposed to be for tomorrow’s packed lunch.

The kids appreciate beef fat with gusto.  In contrast with common filipino customary eating with lean cooked meat + loads of rice, these kids know that the beef fat is their rice.

I was using a brand new sharp carving knife I bought but with the frenzy of little fingers grabbing each slice of beef made it very dangerous so I switched to scissors for the rest of the dinner.

The kids chomped every bit of the fish and the beef we prepared.  I had warned the 2 younger kids that they need to stuff themselves with this dinner as there is absolutely no coming back to the kitchen just before bedtime to eat some fruit or to cook an egg.  And they did stuff themselves.

Then I tucked them in all to bed at around 8:15pm.  Mommy arrived a bit later.

My 8 year old was diagnosed a few months back with tuberculosis.  He’s not coughing, he has no cold, so there is no way to do a sputum test.  If he did have TB germs, they’re obliterated now after going on Beam Ray therapy.  He seems malnourished and has scratch marks on his arms.  Probably zinc deficiency as well.  I’m seeing to it that he gets the best raw food and the best cooked food.  This boy is now well adapted NOT EATING RICE AT ALL. I have banned rice to stop the most idiotic combination of meat + rice that makes it hard to digest food, especially for my son with a weak digestive fire.  Now he eats a lot of meat and a lot of fat. Tomorrow is wild turtle dinner day.

Tuberculosis Fighting Diet of my 8 year old boy this 1st day of September

September 1, 2009 by Good Samaritan

This is a run down of my eldest boy’s food intake for the day.  This boy has been through the beam ray treatments so any tuberculosis germs should be obliterated.  He’s not coughing and he has no mucus no cold.  We got rid of all colds and coughs in the house when I clamped down on the diet to an almost paleo diet.

Today they left early for school and the boys were able to play for 20 minutes in the playground and exposed to sunlight.

Breakfast was rambutan fruit plus 1 fertilized raw duck egg yolk.

In school my boy had for lunch lightly seared in ghee (3 seconds per side) – tanguige fish filet from a 5 kilo whole fish I bought yesterday.

Strange he said he ate no merienda.  We ran out of rambutan.  The kids did drink some freshly squeezed maasim (sour?) dalandan juice plus water when I got home around 5:30pm.

Dinner was a feast of oysters in several disinfecting dips: freshly squeezed lemon + some sea salt, sukang tuba (coconut vinegar), sukang iloko (sugar cane vinegar from ilokos)

I supplemented his dinner with freshly killed raw beef bone marrow and freshly killed raw beef sirloin.

He ate mostly oysters.  He loves oysters.  I remember gorging on a lot of oysters a few months ago until I hit my limit.  Seems my boy hasn’t hit his limit yet.  Maybe my boy is zinc deficient.  Zinc deficiency makes children fail to thrive.  Maybe this is why he likes oysters so much.  Now he wants me to buy live oysters in the shell instead of shelled oysters in a bag.

Last night he had halaan (clams) plus white rice with raw duck egg yolks on the rice.  Trying the high everything diet on him once a week.

I have been supervising his major meals every single day to the point of spoonfeeding him and me doing the marketing and food preparation / food preparation supervision.

Maybe every single day of nutritious meals will make him bounce up in weight.  Right now he is still slim, but I noticed he is very active and very strong and very playful.

Plan to give my boys more daily sunlight, go to school earlier

August 29, 2009 by Good Samaritan

My 8 year old boy who was diagnosed with tuberculosis is progressing well. He has finished a full course of beam ray treatments which should get rid of the TB germs… kill them all; and his diet is now a paleolithic diet with daily raw or seared grass fed batangas beef and on a high fat and low carb diet. My boy’s carbs only come from fruits.

The other thing with have to fix is his daily dose of sunlight. Prospects are not good right now due to the rainy season. But we have thought of a way to give him the opportunity to get better sunlight… adjust his going to school schedule.

Currently he and his brother with the nannie and the driver leave around 7:15am which gets them to school just exactly on time before 8am. We need to make them leave before 7am everyday so he and his brother have some 30 minutes to play in the playground. Make them wear sandos to get maximum sun exposure. Their real outfit is given to them to change into just 5 minutes before bell time. The nannie can do that.

Sounds like a good plan. Get some 20 minutes of sun exposure everyday.

In the meantime we got good sun exposure today when we went up the Sierra Madre mountains and I had the kids running around topless while my wife played the harp in the open field. The kids had lots and lots of running fun. I shouted to the top of my lungs at the mountains and succeeded in having the boys shout their loudest as well. Shouting at the top of your voice is one of the techniques taught by Vander Gaditano to fix lung problems.
