Some few nights ago I just needed a raw paleo diet dinner for myself and just raided the refrigerater for whatever was in there. First I saw we had some 4 day old hasa hasa fish filet ceviche using some sweet Japanese vinegar. Then I saw we had raw sea urchin. As I was eating these two items, I thought there was something missing and remembered I bought some organic tiny cucumbers from our organic farmer Gil Carandang. These tiny cucumbers tasted delicious, way way better than the big ones. Then I thought, I had all the fun ingredients for a sushi roll and brought out some Nori. Well, Nori is not raw, but hey, we can’t be perfect all the time. It’s fun and totally delicious and satisfying. 6 rolls were enough for me. Get your kids to eat raw food for a change.Continue Reading
This is the look and state of our April 2013 home made organic ice cream / raw ice cream with how to guide, sourcing and pictures. It is summer and ice cream just fills in that need for cool raw fats and hydration and nutrition. Purist raw paleo dieters may not like this, but I have an entire house hold to feed. This organic raw ice cream was made possible via a convergence of our house hold contributions: SIL for her labor, ingenuity, and resourcefulness she also sourced the vanilla beans and vanilla extract. Wife, for her raw coconut sugar and sometimes we use raw cacao nibs. I buy the organic raw duck eggs, the organic raw coconut milk / organic raw goat milk / organic raw cow milk, the grass fed butter (Anchor brand), dash of sea salt / real salt / himalayan salt. Put them all together and we have raw organic ice cream that we can safely and confidently feed our children and the entire house hold. Add whatever other flavoring you want… sometimes mangoes, sometimes ube, sometimes leche flan, sometimes cacao tablea.Continue Reading
So my vitamin K2 experiment goes on. How my tar tar had been removed by eating lots of vitamin K2 rich foods. I have given up natto, even if there are left over untouched natto in our refrigerator. GMO Soya in natto just gives me and my boy bubbles on the back of our fingers. As for the cheese, I have settled on the more expensive brie cheese: Brie de Meaux which is a raw cheese from France. As for the gouda cheese we have settled on the Mild Gouda for my boy as that is the gouda cheese he prefers. My boy has lost his appetite for cheese as it makes his poop hard and big. I seem to have adjusted my big hard poop but my poop frequency is less from every day to every other day. Certainly not good for the long term. In the refrigerator today I have some brie de meaux I just bought yesterday from Santi’s. Maybe it will be the last cheese I buy for now. I pair cheese with some unsalted Anchor Butter which is not raw but is grass fed.Continue Reading
My Vitamin K2 rich foods experiment has been going on for less than 2 weeks. I also made various changes in my diet at the same time:
– no beef for now (we are having a beef moratorium for the moment at home)
– I still have raw fish, oysters, shrimp, got a bit of horse, a bit of lamb.
– had 6 different kinds of gouda cheese… 3 are sure pasteurized
– bought 2 kinds of brie cheese, one is surely raw… brie de meaux
– bought some blue cheese as well… these are raw.
– water was changed from reverse osmosis to spring water Hidden Springs brand
– Add a teaspoon or more of apple cider vinegar when I drink water… can never stand plain water.
– cannot find raw butter but we have abundant supply of grass fed unsalted Anchor butter from New Zealand.
– I’m taking some “lacto” probiotics to make sure I digest the dairy.
– I also bought bunches of Japanese natto for high K2 allegedly.
– we have a lot of raw organic duck eggs.
– some red wine cabernet sauvignon for that fun authentic French experience with cheese… but I got South African… just curious… and it’s cheaper.Continue Reading
Saturday was market day. I read and listened to this Vitamin K2 theory of Kate Rhéaume-Bleue, ND in oneradionetwork.com at http://oneradionetwork.com/health/kate-rheaume-bleue-nd-vitamin-k2-and-the-calcium-paradox-how-a-little-known-vitamin-could-save-your-life-march-7-2013/Continue Reading
Four members of my family were having terrible cramps: my wife and 3 children. Lower back cramps, knee cramps, leg cramps, foot cramps almost sabotaged our family vacation. My family went on a very short vacation to Puerto Galera beaches in Mindoro island. The bad part about it was the crisis of pain and cramps began without me as I just followed later on in the late afternoon.
My wife and 3 kids and a nanny were driven to Batangas port by van. At the port our 8 year old daughter suddenly complained of knee pain and leg pain then foot arch pain. Then our 11 year old boy too complained of leg pain. My wife was thinking of sending the children back. But they pressed on and rode the small boat from Batangas to Mindoro. On the boat, our 9 year old boy too started having leg pain as well. By the late afternoon my wife was also feeling tailbone pain, lower back pain. What an epidemic!Continue Reading
The healing of our driver Oliver continues. Oliver used to have recurring kidney infections, UTI, and erectile dysfunctions and later on high blood pressure with pain on the nape. Oliver got into kidney cleansing herbals and raw meat and healed his UTI and cured his erectile dysfunction. Oliver then did colon cleansing via the herbal invention Dr. Tam’s Miracle Tea and got rid of black stinky mucoidal plaque and eventually big black marbles of old stuck up poop. He drank 1/2 cup of the miracle tea at evenings for a total of 5 times.
With his colon and his kidneys clean, Oliver was now able to venture into liver flushing. His choice was egg yolk liver flushing. It is very easy. Just sleep. Wake up in the morning and drink 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed calamansi juice and 1/2 cup of duck egg yolks or chicken egg yolks plus 1 tablespoon of virgin coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil. Drink all this as your breakfast. Lie down on your right side for 30 minutes and that is it.Continue Reading
